All the Treatments Bravo’s The Real Housewives Have Gotten in 2019 (And What Some Want to Try in 2020)

We found out the treatments The Real Housewives have gotten in 2019, and what they're excited to try in 2020—because we have to know.

From breast augmentations, to platelet-rich plasma facial treatments to microneedling and so much more, Bravo’s Real Housewives are willing to try it all, in the name of everlasting youth. We hopped on the phone, exchanged messages via Instagram, and scoured the internet to find out the procedures Housewives have undergone this year and which new treatments some are excited to try in 2020.

The Real Housewives of Dallas

Kary Brittingham

“I’ve had Laser Genesis, HydraFacial MD and Botox done,” Brittingham told RealSelf exclusively over Instagram. “You do HydraFacial MD first, then Laser Genesis right after—it’s called the Celebrity Facial at Pure Spa & Salon in Dallas,” she said, referring to the spa’s option to combine skin treatments in one session.

LeeAnne Locken

In preparation for her big wedding on April 27, Locken got hand fillers before saying “I do” to her husband, Rich Emberlin. In an April 9 Instagram Story, Locken said, “I just got my hands filled! … I wanted my hands to look pretty for when we [exchange the rings.]” According to Bravo’s The Lookbook, Locken had her hands filled by Sivan at Lemmon Avenue Plastic Surgery and Laser Center (where Cary Deuber and her husband work). In the story, Sivan explains the procedure and after effects, saying, “I just finished doing LeeAnne’s hands … If you guys can see, they look a lot more youthful, you don’t see as much of the veins as you did before. Yeah, she’s a little swollen, but that will go down. We just wanted to make sure that her hands were gorgeous for the wedding.”

Kameron Westcott

According to D Magazine, Westcott is a “religious user” of the BeautyBio GloPRO and drives into Las Colinas to receive SkinPen microneedling treatments every three months. “They say you can do it once every month, but I try to do it once every three months,” Westcott told D Magazine. “My skin is more sensitive. Basically, it’s giving your skin trauma so that it rebuilds collagen. It helps the texture, pore size, fine lines, and wrinkles.”

D’Andra Simmons

Simmons got a facelift in January 2019 and dyed her hair blonde to distract viewers from noticing the surgery. “I’m all about telling people what I do, OK. I had a facelift,” Simmons told Bravo.com’s The Lookbook. “I wanted to have my hair blonde because I didn’t want people to notice my face because it takes a while to, you know, look like yourself again. So I thought, ‘Well, if they notice the hair, they’re not going to notice the face.’ So that’s really why I did it.”

“My neck was bothering me,” she said. “I sell skin care for a living, and what I’ll tell people is that no matter what skin care you use or laser or tightening, there’s nothing that’s going to fix gravity. That’s just the way it is. So if you want to have that youthful, fresh look, you’re going to have to get a facelift. You’re going to have to have surgery.”

Cary Deuber

“This year, I have had a Halo, BBL (broadband light) with a nano peel, HydraFacial, Emsculpt and laser hair removal,” Deuber told RealSelf exclusively on Instagram. “I love doing Emsculpt once a month, to build muscle and lift and tighten,” said Deuber. “Halo is one of my favorite lasers because it smooths and improves texture and pores. Makes your skin glow and reflect light.”

When asked which treatments she’s excited to try out in 2020, Deuber said, “I’m so excited to try [Candela’s] Profound RF device. This is a radiofrequency microneedling device that builds collagen and elastin in the skin, which lifts and tightens the skin. It provides amazing results! Also helps with lines and wrinkles.”

The Real Housewives of New Jersey

Dolores Catania

On May 6, Catania posted an Instagram video and photos revealing her continuing results post facelift, neck lift and eyelid surgery. The caption reads, “Just visited [Dr. Karolak]’s office in Wall, [New Jersey]. He’s my facial plastic surgeon. I’ve been seeing him for years since he did my facelift, necklift, and eyelid surgery. Never realized that I could do all of this without general anesthesia,” she continued. “No one ever believes that I had a facelift when I tell them, because I still look like me. He is amazing! He also does my Botox and fillers for maintenance.”

Jackie Goldschneider

After viewers started calling Goldschneider “paper-cut lips,” she decided to get lip fillers when season nine wrapped filming. The name-calling “got inside my head, and as soon as filming for season nine was over, I went and I got lips,” Goldschneider said in an interview with toofab. “I mean, I never even thought about it before; I always thought I had nice lips! But I got lips, and I’m actually really happy. They do look much better.”

Goldschneider decided to get even more work done to her mouth, including new veneers. In an Instagram photo posted on Nov. 9, Goldschneider wrote about her experience with Dr. Andrew Spector at Gentle Dentistry in Haworth, New Jersey. “Thank you Dr. Spector … for transforming my smile!,” she writes. “My top & bottom veneers came out looking amazing! Dr. Spector is incredible and so easy & great to work with!”

Jennifer Aydin

“I’ve had a breast reduction with lift and liposuction in my back and flanks to contour my back,” Aydin told RealSelf exclusively over Instagram. “I’ve also done the Emsculpt on my abs … [which] is a 30-minute procedure that makes it seem like you’ve done 20,000 sit-ups in 30 minutes and without the sweat. My stomach feels sore but tight. I’ve had a Vampire Facial that is like trying to achieve the facelift look without surgery. It makes my skin feel super-fresh and look tight. And I’ve had fillers in my jawline to create a more chiseled look and, of course, Botox in my forehead and [around my] eyes.”

Aydin hasn’t stopped at liposuction and a breast reduction this year—she’s also gone in for platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy for hair loss too. In an Instagram Story in late October, Aydin described her hair loss after wearing extensions and tight ponytails during season seven of the show. “I don’t know, man, those extensions [in] my hair last season were brutal,” she said on Instagram. “And I took them out this summer, and my hair’s actually getting back to the thickness that it was, which is great—but I need a little extra help.”

Aydin documented a PRP treatment during the Insta Story, describing each step of the way as her husband administered the treatment. “Getting my blood drawn. Doing a PRP today, folks,” she says in her video. “I’ve been noticing some hair loss and thinning hair. We’re going to spin it and turn it into plasma and then they’re going to insert the plasma back into my hairline.”

The Real Housewives of Orange County

Tamra Judge

In an Instagram photo from Feb. 1, Judge is captured getting an AquaGold facial at Newport Beach Plastic Surgery. The caption reads, “Getting ready for season 14[.]  Trip to my favorite [Dr. Ambe.] I tried a new treatment called the #AQUAGOLDFACIAL. I’ll try anything 3 times[.] They needle Botox, filler and vitamins into the SURFACE of your skin, different from injecting into the muscle. It has an overall tightening effect and really nourishes and plumps to get rid of fine lines and wrinkles and make you GLOW.”

Shannon Storms Beador

On season 14 of The Real Housewives of Orange County, we see Beador recovering from a scalpel-less facelift, performed by plastic surgeon Dr. Brian Reagan. In an interview with Bravo’s The Lookbook, Dr. Reagan explains the procedure, saying, “It’s really the combination of a couple of different techniques that allowed Shannon to look as good as she looks,” said Dr. Reagan.

“Shannon had a lot of wrinkles and vertical lines around her mouth. I addressed that with a very old technique that’s just so effective, called dermabrasion—not microdermabrasion but true dermabrasion. Dermabrasion is almost like sanding the skin down. It’s a spinning steel brush that is rough like sandpaper, so you’re really sanding [the skin].”

Next, Reagan addressed Beador’s loss of volume. “I did fat grafting under local [anesthesia],” Reagan told The Lookbook. “I used a tool called AcquiCell by the company Cellmyx. It vibrates, and it allows me to harvest the fat in a painless way. I can do all this in the office—patients don’t need to go to sleep. With this technology, I can harvest beautiful fat and reinject it.”

Finally, Reagan performed a FaceTite procedure on Beador, to address laxity. “Where we see laxity most is the lower face, but there’s also laxity of the elbows and knees. What woman doesn’t want tighter skin in those areas?” said Reagan. “[The FaceTite procedure involves] a small cannula that goes under the skin, so [she could do this awake. You cast this probe, which is almost like a chopstick, under the skin, then there’s a slightly larger probe that goes on top and concentrates the energy. So you can focus that energy in a safer way. More energy, hopefully, leads to more tightening.”

Beador also tried the CO2 laser this year. In an Instagram photo posted on Nov. 4, Beador chronicles the progression of her skin post-laser. The caption reads, “The reunion is coming … so went to @cosmeticare_ for a CO2 laser. Have never had anything like this done before. Here is a chronology of the results. Had a week [of] downtime. No makeup on the last photo. Let me know your thoughts! ❤️ Go to my story for video and details about the procedure!”

Kelly Dodd

In an Instagram Story posted on Oct. 7, Dodd took a trip to CosmetiCare in Newport Beach, California, to get the Morpheus8 on her face and legs while also receiving the CO2RE Intima and the O-Shot. “I’m doing the work because I haven’t done anything done to myself in a long time,” she said in her story.

Gina Kirschenheiter

To gear up for the Real Housewives of Orange County reunion, Kirschenheiter has been getting fat-freezing treatments and whole-body cryotherapy at Cryo Haus in Laguna Beach, California, according to an Instagram post on Oct. 21.

Not only that, but Kirschenheiter also took a teeth-whitening trip and saw Victoria Veytsman, DDS, at Cosmetic Dental Studios on Oct. 18.

Her Instagram post reads, “Stopped by @drvictoriadds this week to get my teeth whitened for the #RHOC reunion! 🍊 Loved hanging out with her and her awesome team!! She’s got you covered on both coasts, practicing in both NYC and LA!”

Emily Simpson

In an interview with Radar Online, Simpson’s personal plastic surgeon, Tim Sayed, MD, shared her current treatment as well as procedures Simpson plans to have in the future. “Botox and fillers have been the focus of our treatment currently. Additional services we are exploring for her include laser resurfacing, to further enhance her already good complexion,” Dr. Sayed told Radar, adding, “We plan to propose some judicious placement of longer-acting fillers, for natural enhancement in the midface, in future treatments.”

Vicki Gunvalson

In an Instagram Story posted on April 2, Gunvalson was seen getting a Clear + Brilliant laser treatment.

The Real Housewives of New York City

Dorinda Medley

In an exclusive interview with RealSelf, Medley, along with her aesthetician, Sharon Grasso from Permanent Touch Cosmetics, hopped on the phone to discuss the treatment she’s been doing this past year. “We do the Forever Young BBL with SkinTyte on Dorinda two to five times a year,” said Grasso. “Preferably, we’d be doing it every two to four weeks, but with your busy schedule, we’re doing it two to five times a year.”

“Collagen and elastin are the youth in our skin, and I’ve chosen these systems that I use because I know they work and I know they are naturally inducing your own collagen,” said Grasso. “It’s causing your body to make new cells. So [Forever Young BBL with SkinTyte] is one of the few treatments that [got] an independent review board study, and [it] came back with this treatment. It changes the way the genetics remodel inside the cell.”

“I get, like, the Botox for the lines, twice a year I do that. But I’m not really big into surgery,” Medley said. “Dorinda is my most natural Real Housewife, to be honest,” Grasso confessed.

Ramona Singer

Singer took a trip to see Michael Apa, DDS, at his dental office in New York City this year, to get a new set of pearly whites.

In her Instagram Story, Singer praised Apa for her amazing results. “I have to say this experience with Dr. Apa was literally painless, and I never enjoyed being in the dentist chair, but I did with him. It was seamless. I was in his chair for two hours, and I came out with fabulous-looking teeth,” she said.

“I’m thrilled beyond. It surpassed my expectations. And these aren’t the real porcelain ones yet, these are just the temps—so in two weeks, I’ll get the porcelains,” Ramona said.

Sonja Morgan

Morgan discovered CoolSculpting in 2019 and actually became a spokesperson for the brand this year. She and Dorinda Medley actually both went in for a treatment on the show. “It’s an unusual sensation,” Morgan told People about the CoolSculpting experience. “‘Hurt’s not the word, it’s just a cooling sensation. At first it’s cold, and then it’s numb. And then, when they take it off, the doctor wanted me to rub it to get the blood flowing again. And that’s it. The treatment itself is only 35 minutes.”

Morgan also frequents the Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal office regularly. “I go to Romeo & Juliette Laser Hair Removal. It’s supposed to be completely permanent, but I must have this resistant bush,” Morgan told People. “I’ve said, ‘I’ve got a pink apartment, I have a pink poodle, I might have to dye it pink too.’”

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills

Denise Richards

In an Instagram post on July 3, Richards is seen getting the NuEra tight by Lumenis skin-tightening treatment with Jamie Sherrill at Beauty Park Medical Spa in Santa Monica.

Dorit Kemsley

During the Real Housewives of Beverly Hills reunion, Kemsley said that she’s never had any work done to her face other than injectables. “I’m very happy to say what I’ve had done. Because I think it’s comical when people say that I’ve had a facelift and a bunch of surgeries. A little Botox and filler…that’s all I’ve ever done on my face,” Kemsley said.

Kyle Richards

In an Instagram post published on Jan. 2, Richards let her followers know which treatments she gets done after they accused her of getting plastic surgery on her face.

Bringing in the new year 💞 #2019

A post shared by Kyle Richards Umansky (@kylerichards18) on

In a response to one of her follower’s comments, Richards wrote that, aside from her nose job, “I have not done plastic surgery. I did my nose in 2006, and I get Botox. That is it. There are things you can do to look younger that [don’t] require surgery. Lasers are key.” While Richards’ 2006 nose job is the only plastic surgery she’s gotten in recent years, the star does enjoy trying nonsurgical options for improving her skin. She loves getting laser treatments and has also been getting platelet-rich plasma treatments on her face as well.

Lisa Rinna

Rinna sang the praises of the Emsculpt treatment after posting about it in her Instagram Story in late September. She got the treatment at Jamie Sherrill’s Beauty Park Medical Spa in Santa Monica and said during her video, “I love [Emsculpt]. My body’s morphing into a 21-year-old’s body, just saying. It’s my fourth time. I’m obsessed with it. Oh, it’s hard today!”

Lisa Vanderpump

According to BuzzFeed News, Vanderpump sees Simon Ourian, MD, of Epione Beverly Hills, to get lasering and the occasional Botox and fillers. “I’m on television, and I’m 58 years old. My skin would not look as good as it does, were it not for Dr. Simon Ourian,” Vanderpump told BuzzFeed in March.

The Real Housewives of Atlanta

Cynthia Bailey

Bailey has received a breast augmentation and a vaginal rejuvenation treatment in the past, and she continues to get filler injections to correct the dark circles under her eyes, according to a 2019 issue of Life & Style magazine.

Porsha Williams

Williams has been getting Botox injections for years, until she had to stop when she started her job at Dish Nation. “I have to be expressive, and I could not move my face,” Williams told OK!. “They were like, ‘Porsha, we need more … energy, and I’m like, I’m giving it to you! [Laughs.] So I loved it for my personal life—but work, it didn’t really work for me. Too much, but I looked great.”
