I had gynecomastia surgery about three years ago. I paid quite a bit and the results, though an improvement, weren't as great as I was hoping for. One big thing was how they weren't symmetric. I followed up with the doctor and she suggested for another $1000 she could go back into the right side.. make a small incision below the nipple.. and remove skin from there. I don't really care about scarring. Ideally I would like them as flat as possible and symmetric as possible. .
Not sure about gyno surgery results. I'm currently 8 days post gyno surgery. He did a combination of lipo & gland removal. So far however, I'm not sure about the results... I mean it looks like he just removed a small amount of gland but pretty much all the fat is still there. The obvious thing people might say is that I'm too impatient and I need to wait, but my problem with that is, that is doesn't feel like it's swollen at all. It just feels like a lot of fat is still present in my lower chest.
For years I've had a flat chest and very puffy nipples. I can't feel much gland underneath. When there is contact or cold they retract to a favorable size. A doctor said I could get permanent nerve damage with gynecomastia tissue removal. She suggested I have an areola reduction instead. Will this fix my puffy nipple problem permanently? Will my nipples be too small? Should I see a different doctor?
I am 9 months post surgery. Results are okey but there is still puffiness when the weather is warm or after i take warm shower. I consulted my doctor and he said all I have is a muscle left but he also said there is a bit of connective tissue and it is normal. My question is does a typical normal flat chest contain a connective tissue?
I'm a little concerned that my chest isn't as flat as I had hoped. It's significantly better (I don't have pre-op pictures, but I can tell you that my chest looks 100x better than it did before). Still, it's not completely flat and there is a hard lump I can feel right underneath my nipple (pretty much near where the surgery was done). The surgery was an excision + lipo. The doctor told me that the entire gland would not be taken out in order to avoid cratering, but he assured that most was gone.
I am 6'1' and 190lbs. I am extremely athletic and am a pitcher. I have always had these puffy nipples but no other symptoms. My chest is completely flat otherwise. Is this hormonal? Is it gynecomastia? Should I see a plastic surgeon or a hormonal doctor?
