I have a lipoma about 8mm in size inside the right buttock pressing on the nerve giving me sciatica pinched nerve pain symptoms in the buttock, hip, groin and down leg. I am waiting to schedule surgery for removal. What should i expect for recovery time and I sit a lot at work?
Hello, I have a lipoma on my labia majora. Had it removed by a dermatologist but it returned 1 week after removal. It doesn't bother me most of the time however there are times it swells/flares up and is sore. My gyno is against another surgery. He says it will reoccur and could spread/worsen? An oil gland issue?? My pathology report states Right labia majora SQ nodule: MATURE ADIPOSE TISSUE CONSISTENT WITH LIPOMA. CLINICAL DATA: Epidermoid cyst vs hidradenoma.
My derrmatoligist is still testing them all before I can make an appointment to remove and it seems like each Plastic Surgeon has a different method that they will push as the best. I have hundreds perhaps even more of tiny lipomas. I have them practically in bunches in areas for most part [abdomen, groin, upper thighs, lower arms ] and nowhere else. Besides ones on abs they are in between the diameter of like 1 to 3 times the size of grain of rice. Excision seems excessive - opinions?
I have a lipoma on my upper thigh near groin. I had inguinal hernia operation a year & a half ago, but still suffer nagging pain which stops me from physical activity. My lipoma is not painful but could it be causing nerve pain in my groin? Thank you in advance.
I practice Ashtanga yoga and it is very vigorous and the legs need to move in all directions and stretched out a lot. I also cycle / sim and do squats. Just wondering how soon I can go back to these activists.
I had Lipoma Removal (for a 5 cm lipoma) in the office of a plastic surgeon ten days ago. It was in the groin area, and as you all have written, came back non-cancerous. Two days after, I complained of a burning pain in the area of the lipoma removal. I was told this would go away, but it has gotten worse. The plastic surgeon who operated on me said she did not know what to do, so she sent me to another plastic surgeon who injected the area with a one step above lidocaine medicine(I was told it would last longer than lidocain).I now notice upon standing in and looking at the site that there is a small sac at the bottom of the incision, actually where I am complaining that the pain is coming from. It's about the size of a half dollar. I noticed this because I was told by the dr who operated on me that I should massage the area. Is this normal? What is causing this? When will it go away and what can I do for follow up care?
