Hello. Im going to get a rhinoplasty and interested in afterwards getting a VY lip plasty, plus maybe some fat transfer to give the illusion of a shorter philtrum. The reason Im doing this and not a lip lift is that I scar incredibly easily. My question is, with the VY lip plasty, is they going to decrease/ my teeth-show (ie how well you see my teeth when I talk/small)? Or will it simply stay the same. Let me know if you can, thanks!
My top lip is noticeably asymmetrical and i have a theory because Im a little over weight so I have extra face fat that I feel doesnt help it. If that has anything to do with my asymmetrical lip or if a licensed professional can tell me what procedure I should get done, it would be greatly appreciated.
My upper lip is very immobile and doesnt show my teeth! It covers my teeth when I speak and smile. This hasnt always been the case, they were showing when I was younger, (kid) and when I was around 12, Im now 19. During the time when it showed my teeth I had an overbite and had it corrected with braces. Can the braces and jaw correction have affected anything? And how do I resolve this, so that my lip no longer hides my upper teeth when I talk and smile?
My smile does not look normal. In photos I always have to smirk because when I smile the lower teeth are never visible and only part of my upper teeth show. My already thin upper lip becomes even thinner and the whole smile just ends up looking uncanny. I just want to be able to smile with my teeth like a normal person. What surgery is needed to fix this?
All of these pictures are snapshots of how I look when I talk. My mouth is very awkward. I can't smile correctly. My top teeth don't show at all, and I just looked very awkward when I talk. I don't want to waste my money on anything that's not going to fix the root of the issue I have to use my resting face to look normal. What procedure would give my smile and face symmetry and show my upper teeth as well?
I would like to know all possible solutions (preferably long term permanent solutions) to fix my right mouth corner. My right mouth corner is turned downwards and isn't in line with my left mouth corner which sits higher on my face - both in static and dynamic positions. I attached pictures from before any surgery to my face (pics with hair tied back ) & pics from now (after undergoing Double jaw surgery in October 2023 and buccal fat removal in 2021).
Do I have a normal lip? Because I often have the feeling that I don't have a normal lip. I am particularly concerned about the upper lip. Because my concern is the short length of the lip red in the upper lip, which generally makes my mouth look quite pointed. Or is that just in my head? Do you see it the same way? If so, what could be done without making the lip look too thick? My problem is that I have to grin slightly the whole time so that my lip doesn't get the weird shape
