I had 1ml of Juvderm ultra smile injected into my lips 12 months ago. I still feel the filler and thats concerning me. When I had the fillers I wasnt asked if I had raynauds and after some recent research about why I can still feel my fillers after 12 months I came across a site that said you shouldnt get fillers if you have autoimmune diseases such as Raynauds. Can anyone advice me on my situation
I have been sick for a year with fibromyalgia type symptoms . My strep titers (aso) remain high and my rheumtologist thinks I may have a strain for rheumatic fever . I take penicillin daily which helps with my symptoms . I would really like lip injections but hear gram positive bacteria is a contraindication. And worry my strep levels may cause issues . Thoughts?
I had my lips filled with juvaderm for the first time 3 days ago. (I have two autoimmune diseases (collagenose- not further specified, and hashimoto) except for one spot on my upper lip it's healed fine, apart from bruising. that spot is super swollen, hard, terribly painful and I'm pretty sure it's infected. I don't know what to do, should I take antibiotics, should I wait, or antibiotic cream? I am russia right now, so going to a doctor will not be an option for me. please help what are the risks.
I was on steroids for one year in 2013 due to Sarcoidosis. I was given steroids for that which caused moon face but later when puffiness dropped i had saggy skin and hollow cheeks. I am absolutely fine now but look bad due to hollow cheeks n sagging skin. In my case can I take Juvederm injections for fuller cheeks. I hope it won't trigger the disease
Hi! This spring I lost sections of hair and got diagnosed with alopecia areata. After 4 months hair started to grow back. The section is now full with hair. But now to my question, i'm interesed to use dermal fillers in my lips. But it's not recommended if you have autoimmune disease. Why is it not recommended?will I lose my hair or how will it affect me? I also have hypothyroidism Kind regards /Sara
