Hello, I'm a Latina with a light olive skin tone, but I was informed the IPL is not good for women of color. I have sun spots I would like corrected and I heard great things about IPL. My question is if I'm too tan for this procedure? I provided pictures with normal lighting and low lighting.
I have light olive Asian skin and just got my IPL treatment 1.5 days ago. No serious reactions yet, just slight flaking. My brown spots and freckles are lightening. However, I also have some acne and since i'm off the medicine during recovery, I picked at several pustules yesterday. Today, those areas are red and will scab. My question: Given I just had IPL and then picked/hurt my skin, does that put me at greater hyperpigmentation risk? If not, do u foresee any other serious consequences?
I have olive skin tone & aware that photofacials aren't good on my skin type and are more suitable for caucasians. The doctor I went to told me that he was sure he could do an IPL on me so i trusted him. I left with a burning pain in face and the next day my skin looked like it was burned pretty badly. He won't admit these are burns and says they will go away with hydrocortisone but I need advice from someone else. I am terrified these are burns that will leave permanent marks on my face Help :(
I've noticed since high school that my skin has gotten significantly darker (senior year high school) since I was a child (baseball). Despite avoiding the sun, exfoliating, and applying spf 50 I haven't been able to go back to my olive skin tone. If there a way Pico laser, IPL, or any surgical method help revert my skin back to my natural skin tone that I was born with? Thank you in advance!
I'm Asian with fairly olive skin. In my 20s and don't dare to wear sleeveless tops in fear of getting judged. Have stopped using any antiperspirants or deodorants for past 6 months but it hasn't helped. Don't know what to do. Dark underarms IPL Lighten dark underarms Hair removal
Male - mid-forties, with olive skin (type IV). Black beard (with white hair in some places) I am considering IPL treatment for sun spots on my face. I'd like to ensure my beard is not weakened and (if it needs to be shaved off before each treatment) that it grows back as full/thick as it is now. I hear black hair absorbs the light more than blond/white hair does. How close to the beard line can the device be placed, and on the forehead, how close to the hairline without damaging the hair?
I had IPL about 4 weeks ago. My olive asian skin reacted a lot to the treatment. All the dark spots seem to have flaked off, however, the area around my jawline feel tight and sensitive. Is this normal or should I be normal? How long will it take for this sensation to go away? I've been applying vaseline and avoiding sunlight as much as possible.
I recently bought RedMD from Amazon and first use of 30 min gave me glow, dryness and a large brown line on each side of nasolabial folds, I also get burning sensation in the area. I hv Indian skin tone - neither white nor dark more like Olive. Do you think this brown spot will go away? What shall I do? Shall I stop using IPL?
I got IPL hair removal on my legs, but my whole thigh was severly burnt. Its been 6 months now and i have brown marks all over my thigh. What do you reccommend? I have tried LED and also cutera genesis treatments but they have not helped. The place where i got it done are now suggesting i try IPL again to treat the hyperpigmentation. I am just scared as i dnt want the brown marks to get worse. I am of indian origin of olive complexion. Im desperate for some expert opinions as Im getting married.
