I'm on the 6th day post op. Lots of scabbing and dried blood, and today after applying the moisturising cream and washing my hair, I've gently tried to remove some of the scabs. Unfortunately, while doing so, I've realised that some hair has come off as well and a drop of blood (you can see the pic). Did I lose some grafts? I'm really worried now.
I had an FUE two week ago (1600 grafts). 48 hrs afterwards, I started using pure Vitamin E oil on the Donor area as a moisturizer and to help loosen scabs and used it up till post op Day 9. However, after considering Vit E can easily be absorbed through the skin and into the bloodstream (especially broken skin), I have become concerned. Vitamin E oil is a known inhibitor of Veg-F, which is responsible for angiogenesis after transplant. Is it possible that I stunted vascularization of my grafts?
I'm worried about the dark-yellowish spots near the crown? My surgeon says that I shouldn't be worried as it is due to the dehydration of the scalp and I am using a hair moisturizing cream to counter this.I am really nervous. Please help.
27 y/o. 1st procedure - frontal 1/3 + peaks using the Neograft. Unfortunately, very few of the grafts took. Procedure re-done at no charge using ARTAS. He was happy with the post-op hairline. I understand there are limits to every procedure. I am a dentist myself. I know you should never promise a patient the world (no one is a miracle worker). I want to avoid Roagine (he suggested using it on the grafts). Does it look like he placed 2000 grafts and are they dense enough? Moisturizers on grafts?
