Hello everyone, I'm now 6 months after my HT and unfortunately I haven't noticed any growth. I'm afraid that nothing will come of it... Now I also saw that I have a slight iron deficiency, would that have a major impact on growth? I mean, women suffer from it more often and also have hair transplants, so I would be surprised...(at 06.03.2024 month passing the 6 Month mark).
I had an fue procedure 6 months ago, of 2000 grafts around hairline. I was told that results take up to 12 months but to expect noticeable improvement after 6 months. Im concerned because I dont see a noticeable difference from 3 months to 6 months and little to no density. The doctor said to be patient but Im not sure he really looked at the photos. Should I start planning for a second procedure?
Hi i transplant my hairs around 6 month ago i want to know should i use minoxidil or not i heared when you use minoxidil your hair keep grow but as soon as you stop it, it start shedding so if i use minoxidil and stop it after a while can it cause transplant hairs shedding ? or it just cause normal hairs shedding ?
Hello, I had an FUE transplant around 6 months ago. The night before the procedure I completely forgot about the need to abstain from drinking and had 4 large beers. Im starting to see growth, but Im worried the beer may have compromised the transplant. The surgeon commented on how well the transplant had gone so I dont think it caused complications for the actual procedure. Does the alcohol impact transplanted hair? (I dont want to ask the Dr as hell be mad that I was drinking!)
I had a 5000 ht about 6 months ago and I have been dealing with scratching since month 3. I have been scratching severely at times and would like to know if the damaged hair will grow back healthy if the scratching stops and the scalp heals. Should I shave it all off and wait for the regrowth ? I feel like the parts where I scratch have lost thickness and even hairs fell out and also the color changed. What should I do to fix this issue ? Please help as i am worried.
I had FUE in February 2023 with 1700 grafts. My hairline has been growing nicely but behind the right side it seems less dense and it looks patchy. I attended a 6 month F/Up today and asked if that was normal. The fue advisor said that my hair line was receding but Im sure all that area was transplanted (see pictures). Is this normal? Im taking Finasteride 1mg every day. Ive been told I might need a PRP and I have also been advised to add minoxidil. Will this improve? Thank you!
I got a HT 6 months back I have been on Finasteride before surgery and continue to take 1 mg tb every alternate day along with vitamin supplements. There wasnt much shedding of my grafts post surgery but suddenly from 4th month onwards there is a lot of hair fall I am seeing. My hairs are much thinner by now and there is no density at 6 month mark. Is this shedding shock loss or telogen effluvium or finasteride shedding or what is this ? I m worried. Will the hairs grow back or its gone?
Hi! I am 18 years old and i have androgenic alopecia. Its been 6 months that i had my transplant and the results are good. I had no hair loss after the procedure until 5 months but after that i had intense hairloss around 40-60 hairs everyday (both the native and the transplanted) the transplanted hairs have become thin and the density also reduced. I already had 4 sessions in 4 months of low light therpy with prp, but as the sessions were over hairsfall began.
Im 6.5 months from my second transplant. My first hair transplant failed(1100 fue grafts). My second transplant (1552 fue grafts) isnt looking promising. Its way too thin. I know Im told I should give it 12 months, but I had these same concerns about the first transplant at 6 months and proved to be right unfortunately. Im in desperate need of guidance. Im 29 and dont know what I should? Should I plan for yet another procedure? Im very upset and spent over $22k on my hair so far.
