Hello, I had an FUE transplant around 6 months ago. The night before the procedure I completely forgot about the need to abstain from drinking and had 4 large beers. I’m starting to see growth, but I’m worried the beer may have compromised the transplant. The surgeon commented on how well the transplant had gone so I don’t think it caused complications for the actual procedure. Does the alcohol impact transplanted hair? (I don’t want to ask the Dr as he’ll be mad that I was drinking!)

It is difficult to determine if more growth is coming without doing a detailed exam of your scalp. Hair transplants generally take 12-15 months for final results. I recommend talking with the surgeon who performed your transplant and discuss your concerns. If we can be of any help, let us know.
