Breast Implants 28yo W Kids 325cc 5'3" 115

After having breast fed for a couple years I wasn't happy with the shape of my breasts. My son had only wanted to feed from one side, and as such the milk came differently as one side filled with milk more than the other. Afterwards it made my breasts have significantly different shape, as shown in the first photo from before. Went to get implants at Waldorf Center and couldn't be happier....

A Very Caring Practitioner

Always a great experience with Kristina, she always takes the time to answer any questions and explain the procedures. She’s terrific about making the process as comfortable as possible by chilling the area before injection.

Q: is there any possibility of going from a sagging D to an A (perky or not doesn't really matter)? (photo)
Answered by Dr. StreuNovember 15, 2019

A: Hi and thank you so much for your question. I would suggest meeting with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and discussing your goals for your breasts. I have not examined you, but you look like a great candidate. I would be open with your plastic surgeon regarding size, and also take into account the smallest size you could be with preserving blood flow to the nipple, as safety of the surgery always comes first. Thank you so much for the great question and all the best.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rachel Streu

Q: Can Diastasis recti be repaired as part of a mommy makeover? If so, is a regular tummy tuck or extended tummy tuck best?
Answered by Dr. StreuAugust 15, 2019

A: Hi and thank you so much for your great question! This is one of the most common questions I am asked in my practice. As part of an abdominoplasty, the diastasis is repaired, where I identify where the abdominal muscles are seperated and use strong stitches to bring the muscles back together along the center of your abdomen. I would have to examine you to see what incision would give you the optimum outcome. I suggest meeting with a Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and discussing your goals. Best of luck to you!

All the best,

Dr. Rachel Streu

Q: Conflicting opinions on wearing a bra? Please advise (Photo)
Answered by Dr. StreuJune 10, 2019

A: Hi and thank you so much for your question! I encourage my patient's to wear a comfortable stretchy sports bra for 2-3 months after their breast reduction/mastopexy. I would suggest discussing with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon and see what they recommend.

Best of luck to you and congratulations on your left/reduction!

Sincerely,

Dr Rachel Streu

Q: 4 weeks post mastopexy. One nipple appears lower than the other. Is this normal? (Photo)
Answered by Dr. StreuMay 9, 2019

A: Hi and thank you so much for your question! I like to discuss with my patient's that swelling will stay within the breast tissue for 2-3 months, which can cause distortion of the tissues. I would suggest discussing your concerns with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon, but also would encourage patience, even though I know it is difficult! Congratulations on your mastopexy and best of luck to you.

Sincerely,

Dr. Rachel Streu

Q: How soon can I restart pilates?
Answered by Dr. StreuMay 2, 2019

A: Hi and thank you so much for your great question! I like to discuss with most of my patient's that it is usually three months before I clear them for intense core work such as pilates. This is because I want the scar tissue that forms from the muscle repair to become stronger than the sutures that were placed in the operation to repair the muscle diastasis. I would suggest discussing with your Board Certified Plastic Surgeon. Congratulations on your Fleur de Lis and best of luck to you!

Sincerely, Dr. Rachel Streu
