QUESTIONS ANSWERED

Thanks for you question.  You would need a complete exam to confirm this but it looks like:

1. You have brow asymmetry - left sits higher than the right.  I tell patients that asymmetry is the rule rather than the exception as most of us have some degree of asymmetry when it comes to facial features.  Once adequately evaluated it can be corrected with either Botox or brow surgery.

2. It appears that you may at least have ptosis on your left side.  Although it's difficult to see on the photo where your eyelid margin is in relation to your pupil your upper lid crease is certainly higher and sunken which can be seen with ptosis.  If this is confirmed there are several surgical methods to correct the ptosis.  This surgery is typically covered by your health insurance especially if there is negative impacts on your vision.

I highly recommend you set up a consultation with a qualified physician specialist (ophthalmologist plastic surgeon or facial plastic surgeon).  Hope that helps!

The simple answer is yes you can reconnect to two ends.  The caveat is that in order to achieve a strong repair some of the thin and damaged skin at the split site will need to be removed during the repair.  You will also need to wait a couple of months before replacing the earlobe gauge.  Hope that helps!

At three weeks it would be very unlikely for you to cause any damage - especially from nasal irrigation.  It is possible you dislodges a crust or blood clot.  If you are concerned I'm sure your rhinoplasty surgeon would be more than willing to take a look at you to make sure everything looks good.  Best!

I think you are a good candidate for rhinoplasty.  You have what is referred to as a "tension nose" in which there is overprojection of the tip and crowding of the upper lip due to excess cartilage of the nasal septum.  This can be seen mostly from you profile view.  You may also benefit from narrowing your tip width a little.  If you are seriously considering rhinoplasty I encourage you to see a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty.  Hope that helps!

If hump reduction rhinoplasty is done correctly, and assuming nothing else is changed, then the front view should be relatively unchanged.  When the hump is removed the nose will initially appear wider but then this is typically corrected with osteotomies to narrow the nose back to normal width.  Hope that helps.

The nose after rhinoplasty can literally continue to change for years after surgery.  It depends on many factors such as skin thickness and the degree of cartilage removal that was performed.  You may notice some minor refinement over the next several months but I would expect by 4 months postop most of the swelling from surgery should have resolved.  I would direct your concern to your surgeon.

I agree with your surgeon as additional osteotomies and attempts to narrow your nose may result in breathing problems.  It's possible that an onlay graft may give you the appearance of a more narrow nose from the front view but it also will change things from the profile view as well.  If you are considering revision rhinoplasty I would strongly recommend seeing a real expert in the field - good luck!

I would definitely keep your follow-up appointment so that your surgeon can evaluate you.  In the meantime, you may consider over the counter treatments for nasal congestion such as decongestants, nasal saline, and OTC nasal steroids.  Good luck!

Nasal tip work is challenging and it is important that if you are interested in corrective surgery you seek consult with a highly qualified surgeon - either a board certified facial plastic surgeon or plastic surgeon that specializes in rhinoplasty.  With very round and bulbous nasal tips special maneuvers such as lateral crural strut grafts or lateral crural repositioning may be required to refine the nasal tip.  As far as cost, this can vary by region but figure on about $5000-9000 for primary rhinoplasty surgery.

For permanent removal you would be a candidate for a transconjuntival lower eyelid blepharoplasty.  With this procedure the bulging fat is either removed or repositioned through an incision on the inside of the eyelid.  I often combine this with filler or fat injections as the fat removal alone does not address the hollowing or volume loss that is also causing the aged appearance of the eye.

Personally called me the day after surgery

I was very nervous at the consultation for the rhinoplasty procedure because it was going to be my first time ever having surgery, but Dr. Minton completely eased my nerves and thoroughly answered all of my questions! Dr. Minton and all of his staff are very welcoming, friendly, and easy to talk to. He truly cares about his patients, and he personally called me the day after my surgery to see how I was doing. He is an amazing surgeon, as I had barely any bruising, a quick recovery time, and the results are exactly what I wanted! I highly recommend Dr. Minton and his staff, they are the best!!

Revision Rhinoplasty

1 year post op - pleased with how everything turned out

Dr. Minton is a gifted surgeon that balances aesthetics with functionality. I came to Dr. Minton seeking information about a revision rhinoplasty, something I had been considering for a while. The process for establishing a consultation was so easy. At my consultation, I never felt rushed or pressured. Dr. Minton and his staff were so polite and took the time to answer all my questions. Revision rhinoplasty is scary to think about, but Dr. Minton provided me with his professional opinion on what realistically would be achieved through the procedure. By the end of the consultation, I felt that I was equipped and ready to move forward. Scheduling of the procedure was a breeze and his staff was there at every step. He was very attentive post procedure and has followed my progress every step of the way. I am now at the year mark, and I am so pleased with how everything turned out. I have a nose that works, but also looks amazing and actually fits my face. I am so thankful that I found Dr. Minton. If you are considering rhinoplasty, he is who you are looking for.

$2,450Morpheus8

Morpheus8 Journey

Just had my first Morpheus8 treatment today and wanted to jump on here to give a quick review as i had a hard time finding very many during my research. I was treated by Angela (FNP) at Minton MD Aesthetics. Prior to receiving treatment I was given a quick consult at an open house event. They gave me prescriptions for Valium and Valtrex to take the day of treatment to help with anxiety/pain and any potential cold sore outbreaks. After arrival at my appointment I met with Angela (she was super sweet and professional) and she applied the topical numbing cream and gave me a more in-depth overview of the procedure. After 45 mins of numbing she administered the Pronox and began treatment. There was two passes with the resurfacing tip which was very tolerable. Some places I barely felt at all. Under the eyes were slightly more sensitive but that is to be expected give the thin skin there. Next came the 24 tip which was mainly done around the jawline and neck for a tightening effect. The was slightly more intense than the first but again nothing I could not tolerate. I will say I have a higher pain tolerance than most but it was nothing compared to fillers IMO. There numbing cream is no joke, it's been about 4-5 hours and my lips are still a little numb. After treatment a rich emollient was applied to provide protection and hydrate and written aftercare instructions were given. There was a slight tingling and burning sensation similar to a sunburn that last about an hour or two. As of now, if my face wasn't covered in this thick cream and pretty red, i wouldn't even be able to tell/feel a difference. Looking forward to great results! Also, please excuse my before pics... they were the only ones I could find without filters lol

I first learned about Dr....

I first learned about Dr. Minton from a friend who had used him for an ENT and later had filler in her tear troughs that looked amazing. She was very pleased with the surgery she had to correct her breathing and spoke highly of him. He is the only one around who is a Double-Board Certified Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgeon so I was impressed by his credentials right away. I am a healthy 60 year old who had lost volume in my face and it made me look tired. I wanted to look as good as I felt and look rested but natural. It was also important that it was something with no downtime, so I made an appointment to discuss my options and to see what he suggested. He took time to discuss what I honestly could achieve by using fillers and Botox/dysport. I have had a bad Botox experience in the past and he was patient and reassuring. He used filler to plump up my face and fill in some of the lines around my mouth. Dr. Minton has a very gentle touch and very skilled at injecting. I had no pain and no bruising. The results were very natural looking. I look rested and not over done. I will definitely use him again! If you are looking for a skilled injector in the Savannah area I highly recommend Dr. Minton and his staff at Savannah Facial Plastic Surgery. This review was created as part of a nomination to the RealSelf I Love My Injector Campaign.

The pain wasn't bad at all!

Dr. Minton and staff were great! He called the night of the surgery to make sure that I was okay and left his cell number for me to call if I needed him for any reason. Dr. Minton has a great bedside manner and I knew what to expect throughout the procedure and recovery period. I'm extremely pleased with the results and feel like it has taken years off my face with natural looking results. I decided to go with a facelift to fix my double chin, loose skin on the neck and to tighten my jowls. The pain wasn't bad at all - the day after the procedure I took Tylenol extra strength only. I was up and about in two days. In about a week and a half most of the bruising was gone. Recovery for me was painless, very little bruising. No one in my family knows I had a facelift. No More Wrinkles! - Savannah, GA

I recently turned 40 and noticed my wrinkles were starting to make me look my age…and I didn’t like it. Dr. Minton suggested Dysport to smooth the wrinkles in my forehead and the frown lines between my eyebrows. I am incredibly happy with the results. I had the injections done during my lunch break and went right back to work. After a few days, I looked younger and well rested. When I look better, I feel better and I enjoy life more. -Trish Dibkey, age 40
