It is very difficult to determine that based on that photo. Invisalign has come a long way and has been shown to treat more cases. I would recommend going for a consultation.

Seeing how your teeth and angled inward, I'd recommend orthodontics first. Invisalign is great option cosmetically. Veneers can be done, but if you get your teeth in better alignment, the outcome would be much more aesthetic.

In my office, I use Restylane products (lyft for cheeks and silk for lips), but for patients looking for longer lasting cheeks I use Radiesse. It's difficult to say what is best for you without a consultation. I hope this helps.

For a very temporary solution, you can try using a little bit of denture adhesive so you can walk around with it. I wouldn't recommend sleeping with the veneer on with the denture adhesive just in case it falls off while sleeping.
I hope this helps.

What the treatment for a broken teeth?

Asked By:AnonymousANSWERS (1)

Hi Solky219,
It is very hard to say without a proper radiograph, but from what you described, more than likely the tooth is unrestorable. What that means is, it probably can't be saved. Do you have a primary dentist you see?

Typically after a tooth has a root canal, a post is indicated if there isn't enough solid tooth structure to hold a core for a crown to sit on. Both doctors are right. The post completed does not look abnormally large or long. Doctors decide what size post is indicated based on the patient's nerve canal size. I always tell my patients that if your tooth needed a post, more than likely there was much tooth structure left and the post was needed to save that tooth. I agree that once the crown is removed for a new crown, more than likely there won't be enough tooth structure for a new crown and the extraction needed. Who knows, maybe there is enough tooth structure and you can still save it. It's worth a shot.

The photo is a little dark, but yes, you are right. Veneers are a bit more invasive compared to bonding and bonding does not last as long. Also, when you use bonding to close gaps, the margins of the bonding can stain. However, veneers are highly aesthetic and the shades doesn't change.
Personally, if you like the color of your natural teeth, I would use Invisalign to move the teeth to their ideal positions then reshape the canines to make them look like laterals. I hope this helps!

Botox is a great option for gummy smiles. I would find a dentist that is qualified to provide botox for gummy smiles.

Dental implants are great treatment options for replacing missing teeth or unrestorable teeth. Being only 23 years old, I would not recommend extracting that crown tooth just to replace it with an implant for cosmetics. You won’t get the results you want. I would recommend consulting with a dentist with experience with cosmetics to discuss treatment options. It’s difficult to give you options without a work up of my own.

It sounds like you may have a high spot somewhere. I would make an appointment with your dentist to have him reevaluate it. If there is a high spot, it may take some time after the adjustment before you get relief. Worse case scenario is a root canal
