I had an amazing experience with Dr. Buonassisi, and cannot say enough good things about my rhinoplasty experience with him. I was debating getting rhinoplasty done for over 10 years, when I finally decided to go for it and when it came down to choosing my surgeon, I was looking for someone that was honest, reliable, and someone I could be confident in. From the get go, Dr. Buonassisi was...
I am grateful that I had Dr. Buonassisi as my surgeon. I am happy with my results. He gave me my confidence back. Dr. Buonassisi and the staff at 8 West made me feel taken care of from the moment I contacted them for my consultation, during the procedure and at home recovering. Thank you.
My nose has been something that I have always been self-conscious of. I hated the appearance of it. It was the first thing I would look at in pictures and my number one insecurity. I used to fantasize what a different nose would look like but I never truly embraced a journey into rhinoplasty. However, I came across Dr. Buonassisi's YouTube channel and I got very curious about rhinoplasty for...
Dr. Buonassisi did my upper blepharoplasty. I'm very pleased with the results -- I've got my eyelids back and can wear my beloved eyeliner again! Would've done this sooner (I'm 60-ish) if I'd known how easy, painless and natural-looking it would be. The surgery was quick (less than 40 minutes), and my eyes were swollen for only about a week afterwards. I had no problems reading or doing...
I had such an incredible experience receiving a rhinoplasty here. The staff and doctor were professional and skilled!! I’m so happy with my results. I had insecurities my whole life about my nose and I am so grateful this finally happened for me. Thank you!!
A: Thanks for sending in our photos.
Yes a mini facelift would sharpen your jawline but probably have little effect on you neck.
Many patients at your age are opting for strengthening the jawline with fillers to achieve a very similar effect.
As a surgeon of course I am happy to offer surgical options for patients, but I have been seeing such nice results with fillers in our younger patients that I would likely recomend fillers at your stage.
I recommend you consult a practice that does both.
Good luck
A: You have a perfect chin!
The depression half way between the chin and lips is called the "Mento-Labial sulcus" Directly behind the sulcus are the roots of your lower teeth. Because of this it's not possible to secure implants into this area.
Chin implants are placed at the lower edge of the chin along the jaw bone. If you were to place a chin implant this would bring the chin more forward and make the sulcus look even deeper.
Be carefull trying to fill the very small dimple as it might project your chin more than you like.
As I mentioned at the top. Your chin projects beautifully and is why you have such a nice horizontal neck line I wouldn't mess with a good thing
Good luck!
A: Thanks for your question and for sending in your photos.
You do have a unique nose but there are some changes you could make with Rhinoplasty that could improve how it fits in with your other facial features.
Your nasal tip is over projected and perhaps slightly downturned . Bringing this closer to the face would be helpful but be careful how much you do this. Bringing any facial feature inward on your side view will make it look rounder on the front view.
You also have thick skin and likely fairly stiff tip cartilages they need to be modified carefully
Rotating the tip up slightly will make the nose seem shorter from eyebrows to tip and this would look good on you.
Be careful not to overdo the changes. Subtle changes to various nasal features often gives the most aesthetically pleasing results.
Good luck

Your scars are quite normal. We often treat the facelift scars with BBL(Broad Band Light) as soon as the sutures are out. This helps a lot with the redness. Fractionated laser treatments can help flatten the scars as well as using Silicone gels.
These treatments often result in the scar looking better sooner. In the end your scars will heal nicely without treatment as well.It just takes a little longer
Good luck!
A: A surgical lip lift requires skin to be removed in order to shorten the length of the upper lip. As with any surgical procedure where the skin is cut there will be a scar. The question really is, will it be noticeable?
Skin type and propensity to scar are certainly factors that affect the final scar. Where the incisions are placed in order to camouflage their visibility is what we as surgeons can control.
With a bullhorn lip lift the incisions are placed precisely at the junction of the nasal base and upper lip. This is a natural demarcation line that camouflages the scar very well. A scar in this location is significantly less visible than a scar in the middle of the chin or on your forehead
Micro needling and laser resurfacing can be performed on the scar post operatively to further soften its appearance if patients request this.
I hope that helps
Good luck
