ive been wanting to get my nose pierced for years now and i want to have it pierced before summer and i was researching and saw that u shouldnt get piercings on accutane so i was wondering if after i get a nose piercing should i wait a certain period before starting accutane?
Hello, I heard that Roaccutane can potentially make a nose appear thinner by reducing sebaceous gland activity. I was curious if there are other medications with similar properties. I've come across spironolactone (spiro), but the effects don't seem to last after using tretinoin. Some doctors affirm it, while others do not. Additionally, I wanted to inquire if tazarotene has a similar nose-thinning effect like Roaccutane
I am 19 and I have been suffering from acne since I hit puberty. I went on Accutane for 6 months 40mg a day because I am small. My skin was clear for about 4 months, and recently i have started to get small comedones acne all over my forhead and nose. I wonder if its related to my menstrual cycle or if its just a sign that i will need a second round of treatment.
I've been on Accurane 60 mg for about 6 weeks now. Since then, I've noticed a lot more cystic acne around my cheeks and nose. I wanted to know if my skin would be even toned after treatment. Plus, it is red. I understand my skin was red before, so I was also wondering if I will be red after my treatment?
I have a jar on hand that I use on my 3 year old's dry skin patches. I'm just 4 days into using Accutane and have some pretty significant dry skin / peeling happening around my nose, around my mouth and on my chin. I did use it last night after I showered and it really helped. Other lotions I have just don't cut it. If you suggest not using the Aquaphor, I'll purchase the Cetaphil, Elta or Elevase moisturizers. Thanks!
I've been taking accutane for 7 days now and I'm really struggling with my skin. It feels very hot and irritated, also I have red bumps on my cheeks, something I didn't have before I took the medication. My nose is also very red. Is this normal? Will it go away?
I started to use Isotretinoin (Accutane?) 5 days ago. Im very worried that something is wrong because Ive never heard that your nose can get swollen. After 3-4 days the sides of my nose started to hurt a little, and after some days the pain sensation started to come all over the nose area and not just the sides. My nose hurts and feels very stiff and swollen and is red. The inside of my nose is dry. Its also very hard to do facial expressions because my face hurts, mostly because of my nose.
