I have been on accutane for almost a month and my side effects are pretty horrible but ive been trying to tough it out. Now I have noticed that i have tiny black heads and clogged pores covering my entire face, from my forehead to my chin. I know that accutane causes the skin to purge but is there anyway to combat or clear out these?
Hello, I recently finished my 8 month course of accutane 5 days ago where I reached 240 mg/kg cumulative dose. Skin looks good, still dry. Anyways, I have two questions: When do you think I could start using power peel multi-acid resurfacing pads and how often should I use?What is the best way to address small pimples and clogged pores? I'm thinking using some on the spot benzoyl peroxide treatment at night would be a good way to target specific spots without drying my entire face up too much.
I have terrible blackheads everywhere which look like extremely large, dirty pores. I have put up with these for so long and I cant remember a time when they were this bad. I can squeeze my cheeks/forehead constantly and sebum comes out, however the pores always end up becoming clogged again. I have just started roaccutane and I take two 20mg tablets a day. Will roaccutane have a direct effect on my blackheads at all?
I have always had acne-prone skin. I went on Accutane for 8 months & had no breakouts, for 7 years. Then I used a scrub on my face that contained coconut oil & broke out in a rash of tiny bumps. Then I started getting full-size pimples and even cystic pimples, which I've never gotten. I went back on Accutane but after a month, I was still breaking out. Is there any other solution to this problem? I feel something is wrong feel in my skin because my pores are extremely clogged.
I do not really get many large pimples; but I have clogged pores with whiteheads, blackhead and the occasional small pimple. Can going on a third course of Accutane help with my problem or will it actually make it worse? I have tried a lot of different topical solutions and using Differen now, but does not really help much.
Ive been on Accutane for 3 month & I thought I was seeing clogged pore so I used my exfoliator brush, 3 days later woke up to tons on my face so I putted salicylic acid. After some research it most look like contact-allergic dermatitis. Before this I did saw those red patches on my face with those tiny clogged pore (mini blister) but thought it was part of Accutane treatment & lasted 3 days but now its all over my face and neck. Should I be worry, stop the treatment or do some kind of treatment?
After the purge, my skin felt great up until now. At the end of month 6 (2 months of no breakouts), something stressful happened triggering multiple breakouts. My skin started 2 feel dirty (idk how else to describe it. Suffocated?). I dont drink, I dont wear makeup, no change in products, & I stay hydrated. Increased stress is the only change. What could be going on? Could I have a skin infection? My dog has skin issues & sleeps w me. Is this feeling normal on accutane?
