Botox for underarm sweating or hyperhidrosis is not very painful

Steven F. Weiner, MD answers: How painful are Botox injections for underarm hyperhidrosis?

I am considering Botox for underarm perspiration but I would like to know, how much pain would be associated with doing that?

I've done many of these procedures and have never had anyone complain of discomfort with BOTOX in the underarm area for sweating. It does involve about 30 injections on each side. The injections are very superficial though. If need be, applying ice to the area just before the injection can numb it to the point that you don't feel anything.  his effects of the botox should last you about 6 months in this area. The second time should last even longer, about 9 months.
