I have AK and had 2 sessions of Zyclara, which resulted in greater than 15 lesions exposed, bloody and unsightly. I waited until I healed and just had Levulan with pulsed light. I had mild redness, some dark spots and no pain after day 1. Some mild puffiness and redness. No obvious benefit yet.

Photodynamic Therapy Information
Photodynamic Therapy is a non-invasive skin treatment used to treat sun damaged skin, moderate to severe cystic acne, and superficial skin cancers. Photodynamic Therapy uses intense pulsed light therapy (IPL) to increase your cell turnover and collagen production. Levulan photodynamic therapy involves the application of Levulan, a photosensitizing agent activated with blue light.
