Thanks for your question.  Every patient undergoing the light treatment, and every nurse or technician who performs the treatment will be different, so it is not possible to answer your question exactly.  But in general, most of our patients experience about the same reaction every time, although it depends on how bad your sun damage and actinic keratoses are.  Discuss the possible reaction and recovery with your dermatologist before your treatment so you can understand what their post-treatment instructions are and what to expect.  Best of luck!
