Hi, I had a tummy tuck with liposuction yesterday morning. I have been in a lot more pain than expected. I had the Experell, but it didnt seem to work. Now, I am at home and in a lot of pain. I am alternating muscle relaxers and Percocet, but my pain level only comes down a little and doesnt last long. Is this normal? I know I have a very low pain threshold, but this seems extensive considering the other patient comments.
I'm very nervous about proper pain relief following my upcoming tummy tuck. I had a terrible experience with post op pain after having a transternal thymectomy, and had my blood pressure bottom out and collapsing. I also have a condition that can be aggravated by pain and stress. I have a threshold due to treatment for chronic pain. Is Percocet and Valium a good/common treatment for managing post op tummy tuck pain?
Hello, I take tylenol/hydrocodone 5/325 daily for knee pain prescribed by a pain specialist, so I am little concerned that my body is to used to narcotics that percocet would not be enough to control my pain after the procedures. Is that a matter factor ? I am very sensitive to pain . Which are my options ? I know some PS use exparel or pain pump but none of the surgeons that I consulted so far do . Thank you !
I'm having a full TT with MR and lipo. I am told I will get Percocet for post-op pain. I've never taken Percocet before. I have severe nausea when I take Vicodin or Tramadol (but for some reason not when I take Tussionex?). No problems with IV Morphine. Because of the TT with MR, I am afraid of vomiting. Is Percocet typically well-tolerated by someone like me? Pre-op is on Friday 1/22 and I will be given my prescriptions then, I want to make sure whatever I'm given doesn't make me nauseous.
I had an extended tummy tuck and Lipo of hips and outer thighs and a fat graft in buttocks on 7/27/15. My recovery was going fine until Friday I began to feel nauseous. My nausea has continued to worsen over the past few days and now I can't take a sip of water without feeling like I may throw up. I am taking Percocet for pain and vitamins in the morning and evening, these also make me feel ill. I also am taking arnica for bruising and swelling. I need to know if my nausea is a sign of infection?
I got my TT 2 days ago...and had dry heaves when I got home then later...then again this morning. I only took Zofran...Once this morning. I have a constant headache and almost always feeling sick....except after I dry heave. Seems worse after percoset. Hate the constant nausea and pain...
