Botched TT in 2018. Another surgeon corrected things via LBL in 2019. Nerve damage kept worsening. No nuero has been able to pin point which nerve is damaged. (I was at Hopkins today and told there is nothing that can be done other then CBT and Cymbalta which may not help. I've been medically gaslighted through this. Should I try quaternary care?I'm physically uneven and have pain in my trochanter & piriformis. My scar sits right above it.It's where I have pain.Ideas?
Hi! Four years ago I got a mommy makeover. I had a tummy tuck Lipo and muscle repair as well as breast aug. I had several complications from the surgeries but the one I am most concerned about right now is that I cannot feel anything from my belly button to my pubic bone. I thought that over the years the nerves would regenerate but that did not happen. There are small areas where I can feel sensations like a pin prick. I also have deep phantom itching daily. Is this something that can be fixed?
Hello, Im looking into getting a full TT with an armlift. How common is it to have residual nerve pain or compartment syndrome after either of these procedures. Someone I know lost all feeling in her right leg and arm after her TT and Armlift. Im so nervous to proceed.
I have had nerve damage for almost two years now because my second hernia surgery, which corrected the defect caused by my first hernia. Mesh is causing the nerve damage because the surgeon put a larger mesh in between my muscles and abdominal wall. I was told I need to get a gastric sleeve done first because all my weight is my stomach, but when I lay down my stomach is flat besides my huge diastasis. Im wondering if there is a plastic surgeon that will do my tummy tuck under my tricare prime
Two weeks ago I underwent abdominoplasty and liposuction to the inner and outer thighs / knees. I woke from surgery with 10/10 burning pain over my lateral leg. I can recreate some of the symptoms by lying flat or touching the lateral edge of my scar near the bone. I am unable to walk correctly, needing to limp because flexing and extending my knee is uncomfortable. Nothing like this in my abdomen or right leg. If anyone has seen this, have patients improved?
Post Abdominalplasty-I had terrible pain above my belly button and nobody could figure it out. Dozens of doctors. I became completely incapacitated and disabled in chronic pain . Finally a neurosurgeon did exploratory surgery and found my T8 and T9 nerves sewn in/under permanent sutures. Shouldnt these nerves be looked out for and avoided during plication? Is it standard practice for plastic surgeons to just plicate with no concern of strangling nerves?
I get sharp pains up my lower back and the doctor prescribed meds for fibromyalgia for the nerve pain. My belly button is deformed. The doctor said he could correct it by injecting fat around the belly button, but it would not be guarantee as he thinks it was from my gull bladder surgery. I still have an open wound that I am still having to apply ointment to daily per his instructions to close. Is this normal after 12 weeks? I am ready to get a second opinion. Please help.
I had my full abdominoplasty with muscle repair (no lipo) on November 5 of last year. It is ten months later and I have no improvement with the numbness in my belly. From hip-to-hip, ribs to mons, it is still completely numb. Do you think this has any chance of improving, or do I just have widespread, permanent nerve damage? I have gotten used to it by now, but a lot of my fellow November 2013 people have only just a little numbness below/around their belly button. Thanks.
After TT I had numbness in the front of my thigh, after that came burning sensation and now I have shooting pains when walking and burning sensations at night which are extremely painful and stop sleep. I am now 6 weeks PO and it seems its not tailing off at all. Is this likely to improve or has my femoral nerve been permenantly damaged? I've been prescribed Co-codamol (30/500) but this doesnt touch it, neither does Liquid morphine. Suggestions to pain relief or likelyhood of full recovery?
I'm 2 weeks post op. I've had nerve damage and my left tigh is numb and it hurts when I move. There's a spot, below the cut and near the femur, which, when pressed, causes that pain. Also there's a spot below my ribs which does the same. Will it go away? Is there any chance I'llhave muscle atrophy? I'll visit a neurosurgeon but the fear is killing me.
