I have had nerve damage for almost two years now because my second hernia surgery, which corrected the defect caused by my first hernia. Mesh is causing the nerve damage because the surgeon put a larger mesh in between my muscles and abdominal wall. I was told I need to get a gastric sleeve done first because all my weight is my stomach, but when I lay down my stomach is flat besides my huge diastasis.
