I had a TT with muscle repair about 9 months ago. On a few occasions when I've been hot, my midline developed strange discoloration. It looks almost like deep bruising. It goes away when I cool down and it doesn't pop up every time I'm hot. It's not painful. I still have mild discomfort when I flex or use my abdominal muscles but nothing unexpected and consistently improving over time. Have you ever seen this? Do you know what caused it? Is it anything I should be worried about?
I am 7 weeks post op. I had a Tummy Tuck and lipo on my arms and back. At night while sleeping, when I move my back heats up for a minute or two until I stop moving. My back really gets hot then it goes away, No redness. I also get hot a lot, but I sit in front of the A/C and cool off. My sister and Mom have started saying, I stay hot, they have noticed the change. I don't have a fever. Is this normal?
3&1/2 Wks After Tummy Tuck. I had a area under my stitches that was red and puffy about a week ago took antibiotics and was the same. No infection there was a pocket of blood or seroma under the stitches. This was drained today. Is it good to use ice or heat on that area? It is alittle sore.
Hi there, Im hitting Day 14 of a full tuck. Is it normal to have an inner heat feeling? Also cant stand up straight or take a full breath because everything feels so tight!! I am walking around hunched over a bit. My doctor doesnt want me wearing the garment because they felt it was restricting blood flow...any recommendations on what I should be wearing around that area
I had a tummy tuck with lipo to the flanks and upper back 4 days ago. Sometimes my compression garment won't completely cover the entire upper back which causes swelling pockets near the bra. These get very painful and even burn sometimes. Is it better to use ice packs or a heating pad to help this swelling go down?
I would ask my doctor but he did not return my call on Saturday, my procedure was on Friday and I have yet to receive a follow up call so that I can ask. (I guess because it's Memorial Day weekend!?) I also need to know If this on and off stinging at the ends of my incision normal and perhaps due to the healing process? Stings and itches on and off.
I've been told by a few tt patients that applying a cold pack will reduce swelling. They used a different doctor than I've chosen. My tt surgeon's pre-op instructions says not to use cold or hot therapy to the area. What is your take on this? tysm
I seen some concern with seroma in tt patient. When I had my drain tube in and used a heating pad for 15 min it helped move the clear fluids and waste through the tubing. So far 11 days post op and increase swelling in pelvic and pubic area
8 weeks post op with normal surgery and recovery. No complications. I was 4lbs up from pre surgery weight and arrived in a tropical location this week and my weight jumped up 5lbs in a week and I feel very swollen. I am more active and it is very hot and humid. Is the weight gain swelling related? Am I doing damage?
