Included are screenshots of recently published information about volumeplasty of a bulky nose using heat dermabrasion as minor therapy. Is this a procedure that is commonly performed and would it be helpful in all situations? Are there doctors that do currently perform this procedure?
I had a septo-rhinoplasty last November and I had very severe swelling on my nose bridge where a hump was removed. At 9 months in, I would have thought my nose would have settled by now, but there still seems to be a little bit of swelling - with SIGNIFICANT swelling after I have been outside in the heat. This swelling never happened to me before surgery. Why is my nose still swelling so much in the heat? Does this mean it still has a bit more healing to do?
Good day everyone, I had a open rhinoplasty done 6 months ago, no bones were broken, had a silicone implant on my bridge and ear cartilage for my tip along with alarplasty. 1. How long will it take for the swelling to fully dissipate? 2. Im very paranoid about the implant, Im afraid that the silicone implant will change due to heat and etc. To clear up and rest my mind, silicone implants are permanent materials that will last forever and will not change, right?
I'm currently at 8 weeks and 4 days post surgery. I'm happy with the results, however, will like to know if it's ok for me to go inside a sauna. I'm concern that the exuberant heat may have adverse reactions on my still healing nose. I wouldn't like to do anything to jeopardize my healing journey but I miss going inside the sauna as it was very relaxing. Thank you for your replies.
I will have my surgery June 1st, and there is a music festival I have to attend on June 21st... My surgery will be tip work (lifting) and slightly decreasing the hump (nothing major). It is pretty hot and sunny where I am from, so I am afraid! I won't be sunbathing, but I will be out in the sun all day long.
Hello, Im a male and had rhinoplasty about a month ago and although I'm thrilled with the results, my skin feels very thick and it doesn't seem to bend to the new shape of my nose on the sides (the skin looks curved but the bone of my nose is now perfectly straight!). Im wondering if this is because there's been a really bad heat wave here and the hot weather is keeping me swollen? My face is frequently sweaty. I wear sunblock and hats but I have no choice and have to go to work.
