I was doing my research regarding rhinoplasty, and some patients said that their noses got hard and stiffened. I unconsciously pinch and wipe my nose, but I can stop these habits for a few months after rhinoplasty, but Im really scared that Ill screw things up if ever my nose gets hard forever. Thank youuu!
Considering a rhinoplasty for big nose. The somewhat hard stuff in my nose feels just the right size with loads of soft tissue on it. I feel like if the surgeon just reduces the amount of soft tissue I have , my nasal structure itself is ok. Is there a way for me to tell how much cartilage vs skin is making my nose big
What happens if my nose tip gets pressed down too much due to it getting hit? I had goretex rhinoplasty 3 years ago and my nose tip is hard. I was just wondering if it gets hit, will it damage my nose tip? Thank you!
I had a open Rhinoplasty exactly one year ago. Much of the work was to reduce the tip because it was bulbous. My tip is still hard and swollen. I went to the surgeon for my one year check up, and she gave me a steroid injection. Will this injection actually work to break up the swelling/scar tissue? Should I be taping the nose or massaging it? Isn't one year past the surgery too late for these techniques? Thank you!
Hi, Ive just left my plastic surgeons for my 3 month check up, and she was stunned when she saw my face. We took our normal photos, and she said my nose actually looked more swollen than it did at my 1 month post op appointment. She touched my nose and its rock solid. She said normally at 3 months we start to see some definition, but my nose still looks like a potato. She said Im in the abnormal group of people whose body isnt responding well to the inflammation. Does this happen to others
Hello , i had a Rhinoplasty a month ago and i have noticed that i have a hard ball inside my left nostril just under the columella like shown in the picture. It feels hard but at the same time when i massage like the dr. said it becomes a little softer. My doctor said that we cannot define what is it exactly only until most of the swollow is gone (4-6 months) Im afraid that its a inclined cartilage or the implant that he put in there is out of the way.
I had my closed rhinoplasty done 10 months ago and although i am happy with it my nose is still swollen towards the tip. It is hard still and n indent ok side, do u think the indent is from it still being swollen? Is there anything i can get or do to reduce the swollen or hardness? I got it thinner, my bump removed, tip lifted and shortened and my nostrils smaller. He said it would take a year but idk if i am just a slower healer. Please lmk what u think.
6 months post rhinoplasty, I had my tip narrowed, hump removed, and majority of swelling has gone down but my tip and the sides of my tip are still stiff and feel inflated i had a steroid shot inject and it created a bit of a depression on my one side but its not too noticeable thank goodness but will this tip hardness and sides hardness go down? Will the skin around my tip shrink soon? (i am thick skinned, and middle eastern decent.
I had surgery for a deviated septum 5 years ago. Like most rhinoplasty, your nose continues to grow and change. Mine cause my septum to become hard, preventing my upper lip from rising when I smile and also my nostrils to enlarge. How can this be corrected?
So im 10 weeks post op. And my nose looks a tiny bit deviated to the left around the tip area. I have thick skin and my nose is really swollen. But when i touch the left side i can feel hardness. When I touch the right side it feels soft. Should i be worred about anything? Also my tip is still numb, and when i leave the shower my nose gets really red.
