6 months post op rhinoplasty. Will my nose continue to change?

Your nose will heal for up to 1-2 years. You have not reached your final shape as the nose will continue to heal and reduce in size for up to a year. Once it does reach its final shape you may be more pleased with the appearance of your nose.

Hi thanks for your query,it takes atleast one year for the nasal dynamics to heal and for you to see the final outcome of surgery.The tip swelling will be the last to resolve ,hence don't worry allow some time .In the meantime have a periodic check up appointment with your surgeon regarding the progress and if any concern get it addressed for a faster recovery.

Thank you for your question.  After a rhinoplasty, it can take quite some time for all swelling to resolve.  We will usually advise that it takes anywhere from 6 months to one year for it to completely subside.  If you have thicker skin, then I would say that it will take up to a full year to see your final result.  The firmness that you feel in the dorsum and tip will eventually resolve.  This is a very common concern, and it simply takes time for the tip to return to 'normal', but it will get there.Be sure to discuss your concerns with your surgeon, as well, as he/she is the only one who knows exactly what happened during your surgery. I hope that this helps!-David Gilpin

Does this can take up to a whole year before you see the final result. If you extra scarring either from perhaps bleeding under the tip of your nose or extra scarring just from genetic reasons, this may require more time. In general, at six months one is getting a pretty good idea of what the nose will look like. Discuss your concerns with your surgeon. The steroid injection may indicate that there were some concerns regarding extra scarring.
