Hello, I am 16months post op and I am suffering from chronic congestion since my rhinoplasty, swell and pain. I am not in terrible pain all the time but when my nose is swollen it triggers the pain. Sometimes my nose is not swollen and even looks good. The cartilage grafts used are very uncomfortable to me and seem to be the reason why I am going through this, my question is : Is it common for grafts to become very stiff and painful in the cold ? To be outside for me in the winter is awful.
I had a deformed nose after a car accident. Had a functional surgery and then a cosmetic surgery a year after. After the cosmetic surgery (3 years ago) I started experiencing mucus buildup and congestion in my left nostril. That side was particularly deformed and probably required more work. ENTs say they dont see a structural issue. I have to blow my nose 50 times a day. Rinsing with neti pot and flonase help to some extent.
Hi, I had a Rhinoplasty done in Mtl almost 6 months ago. Few weeks after surgery I got pregnant. In the past month Ive been experiencing mild nasal bleeding(less than a drop) and congestion. I thought maybe is not a big deal but recently my nostrils bleed more. Sometimes is the right, sometimes left. I feel irritated inside, maybe itchy, not necessarily painful but uncomfortable. Outside looks just fine. Could this be pregnancy related? is it normal to bleed?
I have had surgery over a year ago( and still have dryness now since surgery - it can cause a feeling of congestion, and stuffy nose and on bad days blocked feeling. I had septoplasty and turbinate reduction at the same time as rhinoplasty. I did not have any issues before surgery. This is impacting my life a lot. I am 14 months post-surgery. I use humidifiers, nasal oil, and sprays, drink a lot of water etc
I have a lot of sinus issues and lots of congestion issues. My facial plastic surgeon who does my massater Botox told me I would be a good candidate for rhinoplasty due to these issues. But, I do not have a deviated septum. So my question is, is my nose too wide for my face? He said he could give a more feminine nose and it would make my features look more feminine
40 yo male, septo-rhinoplasty 2 years ago with turbinoplasty on left and turbinectomy on right of inferior turbinates. Primary issue has been right nostril with congestion and blockage day/night. During the day, somewhat better, use saline rinses/nasal dilator. Night time, nothing helps, right nostril is completely blocked 4 hours into sleep significantly affecting quality of sleep. Could above scenerio be a combo issue with turbinate and inner nasal valve? What would the remedy entail?
I had a rhinoplasty done in 2019 and ever since the procedure, i have had a permanent stuffy nose. I am now a loud breather and sometimes have to breathe through my mouth cause my nostrils are so clogged. I am perfectly healthy but my nose is just clogged up. It feels like the insides of my nose are swolen and wont let air in. I dont know what to do about it and just want to breathe normally again.
I think I have sinus issues as a result of the asymmetry as well, always have seemed to have congestion and post nasal dripping on left side only. Cosmetically I have always hated my nose shape and size for my overall face, as well as how crooked it is. Would there be a way to improve both functional and cosmetic issues at the same time, and would it be a very complicated and costly rhinoplasty?
ENT told me I have a deviated septum and I need surgery when I went in with congestion. I really don't want surgery on my nose but he's saying problem won't go away if I don't. Will this change my nose and is surgery under general anesthesia/painful?
