44 Year Old Breast Reduction (38G)

ORIGINAL POST

I have had big boobs all my life and hate them....

I have had big boobs all my life and hate them. Can never find a bathing suit, wear the same 2 bras all the time because it is so hard to find a good one that fits. They tend to go up and down when I loose and gain weight but recently have been the biggest they have ever been. Got measured at a 38G. Finally decided to look into a breast reduction and went in for a consultation. I had to quit smoking and was TERRIFIED of the whole idea of the procedure. Not sure which was worse- the quitting smoking of the thought of the surgery itself. After consultation and they came back and told me it would be covered by insurance. I smoked for 30 years and quit cold turkey 6 weeks ago. Despite my anxiety and fear for the surgery , I decided to go through with it. As the day grew closer my anxiety was so bad I thought about canceling many times. My surgery was yesterday and all went well. I have been looking at this website for months so thought I would share my story and my before and after pics. The pain has not been that bad at all. Honestly the part that hurts the most is where they did lipo near the armpit area. The worst part is having to sleep on my back. I do feel like they are kinda small but I guess that is normal since I am used to them being SO big. Doctor said they are about a D now but they look smaller, not sure. I am looking forward to seeing what they will look like in a couple months as well as bathing suit & bra shopping. Not to mention the relief on my back! I just hope they don't turn out too small.

Well done for going through with it! I think you are going to have a fabulous result but I could never put 'too' in front of 'small'! Seriously though, I think you are going to be mega chuffed once you have adjusted

Question - do you have a similar bruising on both sides? I got lipo similar to yours, and somehow only one side was bruised and painful...shape is nice actually. Your boobies look awesome!

Same! It was only really bad on one side. Not sure if they did more over there or what.

Mine surgery is Dec 11th. I am kinda Nervous? How many grams did u have removed?
November 29, 2017
I was so nervous about size too. I had to have 600 grams for insurance to cover. He said he took 600 from one and 650 from the other as it was a bit larger. He said i am about a D now. I still have to lose about 20lbs so I hoped for a D as they will get a little smaller when I lose weight.
November 29, 2017
They say 200 grams is about a cup size so if you are a ddd and they require 480 it sounds like you will be right where you want to be at a C. I was beyond nervous but so happy I did it. Keep us posted and good luck!
