Hello all! I am brand new here, and excited I found somewhere to vent my anxieties! I just decided to go for it and have a couple of consultations set up for next month in Houston (about 6 hours away from where I live) and I don't know how I'll possibly think of anything else but this. I am 27 years old and have a 5 year old son.

Sorry, I'm the worst updater ever. Things were on hold for a while but I got back from my consultation last week with Dr. Smith. (who, by the way, is absolutely amazing. His assistant, Sherry, is a Godsend as well)
I have scheduled the operation for January 15th - pre-op on the 14th.
Can anyone help with what to pack and take for the hospital and hotel stay? I will be away from home a total of 4 nights.
The first night will be the evening before the surgery. 2 nights after that in the hospital and one night after that in a hotel. I get to fly home on Friday, 3 days after the surgery. Anyone know how that will go? Kinda scares me!

Leaving tomorrow! Agh! Pre-op tomorrow. Surgery on Tuesday. Hospital for 2 days. Hotel for one night on Thursday. Back to PS on Friday for check up. Fly back home after appointment. And doing it all alone. Kinda scared! Nervous, excited...!

I'm so glad you found us! Here's a great post by JenBob on what she went through with her mommy makeover. Hopefully it'll give you some idea of what to expect.
