I have always wanted to get braces since I had the knowledge of them but my parents could never afford them. I love my smile and so does all of the people I know but deep down inside I knew that I wanted to experience a smile with no gaps at all. I always promised my teeth that as soon as I can afford them then I will take that plunge. When I heard of Invisalign, I always thought that I would not be eligible for it because of the many spaces that I had. I set up four consultations and after three of the four told me I was eligible for Invisalign, I chose the orthodonist that best fit my personality and pocketbook. I am a Google girl at heart so I began to search for sites that gives information and experiences on using Invisalign and I have been hooked to this site every since. Today I finally went to my appointment to get my impressions, pictures and x-rays done. It took me two whole hours there due to the fact that they had to keep redoing my top impressions because of my wisdom teeth. After several attempts, they finally finished and I was sent on my way. I can not wait until my aligners come in so that I can start the process to that smile that I want. I know that it will not be an easy task to take on but it will be worth it in the end.
Any tips, advice, and information that I can receive from you all would be greatly appreciated. I will update you all when my aligners come in after my next appointment.
Thanks in Advance!!

Thank you! Very helpful :). Now I can send you names of others with spacing issues--most of them are a single gap, but some have multiple spacing issues. NRK0314 is the newest before you, I think. Then we have llatkinson667, MsT850, Fuschia, creativejawn, Primus81, and PreOrtho, who is a RealFriend.
Jannstar also has similar spacing issues but isn't sure whether she's doing braces or something else. Probably braces. But I know she's always looking for people with spacing issues so you can go say hi to her :).

Wow I'm so excited for you! I know exactly how you feel! I am just starting the process, too, but haven't decide what I'm doing yet. I look forward to seeing your progress. :)

Hi! Invisalign works well for spacing, but it can take several aligners before they all close up. Is your spacing genetic or did/do you have habits that caused them (eg. thumb-sucking, tongue thrust, etc)?

Hello! I do tongue thrust but I don't think its genetics looking back at my family's teeth. My orthodontist told me it will be 18 months but I'm hoping its a little less time.
