I began losing my hair when I was 16/17. I initially tried minoxidil and then Propecia in my mid 20's but my expectations were probably too high and stopped within a year of starting both. Then did nothing for almost 20 years. After all that time I had maintained most of the hair on the back of my crown, but the front hairline was a baron wasteland.
I decided to get my hairline back and began researching online and watching some videos. I was interested in finding someone who had a lot of experience and was current with trends/methods/science. Dr. Cole stood out given his background in pioneering FUE (CIT), and his extensive work in repairing work done by other hair transplant doctors. I inquired and had a consultation with Dr. Cole he was very conservative in his recommendation which is what I was looking for, you only have so many grafts use them wisely. On the day of the procedure, I remember being nervous going in but was immediately put at ease by his staff. The procedure was done in one day, the total grafts were approximately 3,200, with PRP, ACELL. His staff in the surgery room was great and he has surrounded himself with an amazing group this can't be stated enough. I was given detailed instructions to follow for the next few weeks along with post-op products. Scabs were 99% gone by the end of the 5th day. Discuss hair fall out discuss hair texture and when that started to change.

The hair as it came in changed texture over the course of 1 to 2 years. I mostly kept it short until the texture (fine) matched the surrounding hair and then grew it out and started to learn to style my hair again, it had been so long I had pretty much forgotten.
