Great Staff Made It a Very Good Experience and the Result Looks Promising.

WORTH IT
I recently had a procedure done at FORHAIR in Gangnam with Dr Kwon, and I’m very pleased with the experience.
I’m a blond Caucasian male, so I assume I’m not the most common patient profile. But from the very beginning, long before the surgery, I had the feeling they knew very well what they were talking about. They correctly identified the state of my scalp and provided advice, including cautionary advice, as to how to proceed from there. Communication was smooth and I received all the information necessary to feel confident with moving forward.
When I arrived on site, I was very warmly welcomed by all the staff. The facility is very nice and comfortable, and you feel well taken care of. I especially appreciated the presence of an interpreter (Soomin), who did a great job making sure everything was clear to me and that my own uncertainties were correctly conveyed.
Compared to all the lovely staff, Dr Kwon first comes across as a bit more distant during the first consultation, but you quickly realise that it’s likely because he’s very busy. On the day of the surgery, he’s very attentive, detailed-oriented and focused on achieving the best result. You might even get a hint of a sense of humour.
I had a bit more than 2,000 grafts transplanted, which felt pretty long, to be honest, as the surgery took most of the day. But the entire team made it feel manageable. Dr Kwon and his staff were exceptionally patient and meticulous throughout the process, paying close attention to every detail. By the end of the procedure, when I saw on the monitor that all the planned grafts had been put in place, I was relieved. I was a bit surprised when Dr Kwon told me there was a bit more time to go, as he started creating a few more slits, but I really appreciate it in hindsight. That was areal testament to his professionalism. Despite the long day, Dr Kwon and his whole team were willing to go the extra mile to make the final details perfect. Throughout the day the atmosphere was calm and professional, and I genuinely felt that everyone involved put real effort and care into the work.
The post-op care meeting the next day was also excellent. Of course, by then I was used to the lovely staff and they didn’t disappoint. Even though the first wash is a bit a shock as it was the first time during the whole ordeal that I felt a little bit of pain or physical discomfort, all the rest went as usual. I got very good, detailed explanations of everything I had to do to ensure the best results possible. And I’m very touched by the attention put in the follow-up plan.
The early results look promising, and I’m happy with how things are progressing only a couple of days in. The picture I attached are from the day the bandage was removed and the first wash was done. Right after using the spray they provided for the last time before going to bed. The donor area is still quite sensitive but they recipient area looks surprisingly neat to me. (I’m supposed to touch it so I don’t know how sensitive it is, but it hasn’t bothered me at all so far.)
I warmly recommend FORHAIR and Dr Kwon, as they made the whole experience as good as it possibly have been in my opinion, and I’m so far very satisfied with the results. And I really want thank the whole team, each and every one of them, for the fabulous work they did.
