Starting the Journey
Here's the background of myself: I am 24 years old with two amazing little boys. I've always dealt with bigger boobs(currently 38H/I). I started growing when I was 11 years old. Since then, it has only gotten worse that's including the back, neck and shoulder pain along with headaches. I've always thought about a BR but was too afraid to get the process started. Now that I have kids and plan on not having anymore, I decided to take the chance and get it started after my second son. I finally got my consultation with Dr. Shell and my experience was very comfortable. I wasn't too much nervous when he came in the room and spoke with me. He was very informative and told me everything I needed to know(pros AND cons)about this surgery and answered all my questions without me even asking. It took about a week and a half after my consultation to get my insurance's approval and I got to set my surgery appointment(Aug. 30th). So, I have exactly two weeks to prepare for my smaller boobies thanks to Dr. Shell!

More Pictures + video
Here are three more recent pictures along with a video of a bra that I literally JUST bought from Wal-Mart that is a XXXL four days ago just for comfort until surgery day. If I get a bigger size, I believe it'll too loose.

You would think that it would lock in at the top a bit when you zip it up, smh

Keep us posted. I'm just starting my journey also. I have Dr Shell as my #3 on my list but not feeling the before and afters. I'm going to consult with Dr Cedric Hunter first. Going from a J to C cup hopefully. Definitely can relate.

1M Recovery
It's almost 1 month since surgery and I'm feeling a lot better. Starting from surgery day: my appointment was at 9am and I had to go back to get ready at 10am. Since my appt was in the morning, I couldn't eat or drink anything after 12am. All I could do was brush my teeth. Every nurse that to see men was very professional. The anesthesiologist came around 11:45 to get more health information from me and was very informative on everything I had a question about. Since Dr. Shell was already in surgery so the wait was okay for me. It really helped me with my nerves. Dr. Shell came to do his markings after the nurses slowed down my IV. The last thing I can remember was 15 minutes after Dr. Shell came, I was rolled to the back and was asked to lay on the surgery table and fell asleep. When I woke up, I was so tired. Not much in pain, just exhausted. My stomach was kind of upset so my bed-side nurse gave me some ginger ale. I was told I had 6 lbs total removed (more than I expected), no showers for the first 3 days due to my bandages, only sponge baths and to sleep evaluated (back and neck pillow did me justice!!!!). I had to stay for 30 minutes and was able to leave. The first week was horrible and I craved for a shower the first couple of days. The pain for me was a 7 (scale 1-10). I was taking Hydrocodone every 8hrs as needed for pain and slept a lot. Whenever I woke up, I walked around for a good 15 to 20 minutes. September 3rd, I had my bandages taken off and was finally able to see my breast. I must admit, I was scared but they looked okay besides the tape. I was extremely happy I could finally take a shower. As the days went on, I was gaining my energy back and able to move more. September 18th, I got my one stitch out, which was between my breast and some of my tape removed as well. It was slightly painful (4) but it was quick. I noticed I had two pus bumps, no infection and has eventually went down. As of now, I still have tape around my nipples. I can take those off when the tape begins to curl as Dr. Shell recommended. I feel a whole lot better. However, since my left breast was bigger than my right, it's still a little swollen. But I'm loving the results especially how my back is no longer giving me the blues!

I go for my consult on Oct 14. So excited. I am a 34DDD and want to be a C cup. My back hurts so bad as does my neck. I will be self pay cause I am OLD and Medicare doesn’t pay. Can I ask how much yours was? Or anyone else the cost? I am in Phoenix AZ! Thank you so much for photos and info!!!

Thanks for the update!!! They look great. I know you feel better with the relief from back pain. I put mine on pause due to being away for military duty. But Nov I have a consult not with Dr Shell but after seeing your pics I may reconsider him again. Please keep the updates coming?
