How it works
- Our highly-trained Review Moderation team evaluates all reviews before they're published to ensure they're written by people like you and not a member of a doctor's office.
- This multi-step process takes up to 24 hours from review submission to publication.
- Doctors can't pay to have reviews removed or hidden.
- Reviews are only removed at the reviewer's request or if they violate our Terms of Service.

Update
Updating to add a before photo. This photo was taken in Dr. Umansky’s by Dr. Umansky
I requested my medical records, the or report and my before photos from Dr. Umansky’s office. As a patient you are entitled to this information and it is always wise to have a copy for yourself. You will be your only advocate when things do not go right.

revision needed
I went to see Dr. Umansky in early July of 2023 to see about replacing my 20 yo saline 350cc implants that were starting to sit extremely wide/lateral. Despite what Dr. Jeff wrote down on my medical file "patient desires larger breasts," I really wanted to stay close to the same size. Dr. Jeff suggested 400cc high profile (I stayed with saline) and that's what we went with. A periareolar lift aka "donut" lift was decided on since it was noted and documented by the surgeon (I have all my records from Dr. Umansky) there was only "mild ptosis." That is when the breast sag slightly below the breast crease. I opted out of a full anchor lift because I was not ready to commit to that level of scarring.
On July 17, 2023 my surgery was performed. I was in a tremendous amount of pain as to be expected after surgery. I noticed how much more painful this surgery was than my first breast augmentation. I had my follow up the next day. When the surgical bra was removed me and my husband looked at each other very alarmed. The areola on my left breast was sitting very low down on the bottom/underside of my breast. The left breast was much more swollen and sitting higher on my chest wall than the right side. I immediately started sobbing and Dr. Jeff told me and my husband not to worry, it was very early on and he was confident my results would be great and if they weren't he'd take care of it and make sure I had great breasts.
Within the first week of healing I could feel something different in my left breast. The pain was a thousand times worse on that side and I was having really painful radiating nerve pain on the lateral side of my breast and in my armpit down to my elbow. I both emailed and called the office about this pain. The medical assistant relayed that Dr. Jeff said he was more aggressive on my left side so I can have more pain and nerve irritation on that side. After 5 weeks I emailed again ringing the alarm that something was not right on my left side. The doctor was telling me he didn't know what was wrong, he presumed it was really bad nerve irritation and would subside. He prescribed gabbapentin.
Throughout this, I was coming into the office for follow up appointments. As time went on and swelling went down, my left side remained high and looked much different than the right side. The left implant remained in a high position while the left areola hung very low and the right areola was much higher. The left implant was also starting to look much smaller. Dr. Jeff said everything should even out and it would take 6 mos to a year for final results. Not to mention this entire time I am still having the severe nerve pain on the left side and in left armpit, which I still have a year later. I will touch on this again down below. Dr. Jeff has maintained through out that I DO NOT have capsular contracture and my implant is soft (this is true and noted by other surgeons I am in the process of consulting with for revision or possible explant). My implants are indeed soft and my capsule is thin and healthy.
During some of my follow up visits when I express concerns about the looks of my breasts Dr. Umansky is insisting its unnoticeable and I am the only one who notices it. In these visits I do tend to cry because the severe nerve pain and ugly uneven results tend to take a toll on the mental wellness . Around 7 mos po he decides that I should do some aspen treatments as a last ditch effort to get the left side to drop fully into the pocket. I had 5 aspen treatments (free of charge) with no luck. On my last follow up with Dr. Umansky he maintains I need revision on the left as the pocket is too tight and needs to be released so the implant can come down, he said the right implant is lateral but doesn't want to fix it because he "doesn't want to poke the bear." By this time I felt that my results were less than desirable and being left with bad nerve pain I knew I did not feel comfortable going back for revision with him. If he couldn't get it right the first time why would he get it right the second time?
After this appointment I start solely dealing with his office manager where I voice my concerns and disappointment with this entire process. Now me and Dr. Jeff are communicating through her. I asked her of the possibility of a partial refund and she tells me that could be a possibility. At no point did I ask for a certain dollar amount, the manager wrote down she would ask for a partial refund of $7,500 on my behalf. Fair enough. After she spoke to Dr. Jeff she called me back a week later and said Dr. Jeff would agree on a refund of $2,500 (the price it would cost to revise the left side) but I would have to sign a form releasing him from all liability. And because mama didn't raise no fool, I said absolutely not. I am just now starting the process of working with a neurologist and a pain management doctor, no one is getting released from liability from me. After this exchange is when I see a shift in professionalism. Once I start to post reviews of my experience and results, which Dr. Jeff doesn't like, he decides to throw a fit on another review website and accuse me of trying to extort money out of him, lol. Okkkkaayyyyy sir, that is a crime. He can throw a fit and falsely accuse all he wants but patients do have the right to post reviews and the photos of my results speak for themselves. If I wanted money I would have taken the $2500. He told me my final results would take up to a year so I waited a year and then posted my reviews after I knew 100% I would not be moving forward with him as my surgeon.
I have let this man gaslight me for a year, telling me "no one can see a difference in my boobs" and "they are the same size" and it's "my body healing poorly" on top of dealing with extreme chronic nerve pain that he caused! AND now possibly having to get an explant to hopefully cure the nerve pain, if even curable. The fact of the matter is I will unfortunately need surgery again either way to fix the results Dr. Jeff has left me with.
