21 Y/o Labiaplasty & Clitoral Hood Reduction

On July 2nd, two days ago, I had labiaplasty and clitoral hood reduction. I have looked into this procedure for 4 years through realself so I wanted to write my own review. I just turned 21, and wanted to make my 20s free of this burden I've dealt with for years. This has been so much more than surgery for me. It's been a solo adventure I traveled across the country for. All planned and paid for by me. Surgery aside, this journey alone brought out bravery I didn't know I had. I was more afraid of traveling and staying in a hotel by myself than I was about surgery. Likely because of how badly I wanted this procedure- there was little reluctance about that.

So my doctor, Dr. Michael P. Goodman, is AMAZING. The best medical experience I've ever had. He did a linear with clitoral hood reduction. Local anesthesia. He spent 4-5 hours with me. About 2 hours was on the operation and about 3 hours we talked and prepped. Nurse assistants were great too.

I was driven back to the hotel by Dr. Goodman's assistant. I didn't feel any pain but I did feel faint and nauseous because of the meds. Right now I'm not taking any more of the pain meds but trying to keep up with icing and swelling. Not in much pain as of today, July 4th.

If anyone is reading this and has questions, I'll answer them asap. I don't feel up to writing a whole detailed story right now, but I want to document the process to look back on, especially through pictures.

These are some before pictures taken with my phone camera. My left side is bigger and I have a huge clitoral hood plus an above average clitoris. The doctor told me that I wouldn't get a teeny clit area after surgery since it's not just hood tissue, it's also clitoral body.

Doctor did a linear and hood reduction by taking out the sides of the hood. He didn't touch the center. Used a laser and scalpel. Sutures dissolvable. Yadayadayadablahlblahhhhblah why is it required to have 200 characters for a post??!
