Why should I still have drainage after almost 3 months after my surgery I also periodically get what feels to be a lot of pressure for a day that burns a sharp pains on the incision that goes away unpredictable when it happens or why I have had 2 ultrasounds 1 that showed a pocket of fluid my surgeon near the incision and relieved but now 2 weeks later still lots of drainage 2nd ultrasound showed no more pockets of fluid any advise would help with whats going on.?
At 3 weeks after TT my PS told me I had a small seroma develop. He said it is about 30cc and that it would be too small to drain and should resolve. I wear compression garment all the time. At 5 weeks the seroma does not appear any larger or smaller, there is no pain associated with it, but I can move the fluid around when pushing on my stomach. I am concerned that if left for too long it could turn into a pseudo bursa. Should I see about getting it drain under ultrasound, or give it more time?
I had a tummy tuck just over a year ago. I had persistent problems with fluid build up and had fluid aspirated twice a week for weeks. The fluid appeared to dissipate although the feeling of bloat was never gone away. I recently had an ultrasound that showed a large 12cm cyst on my liver. Could the fluid from the surgery have caused this? The cyst must not have been there a year ago as nothing showed on the ultrasounds performed after the surgery?
I am 8 weeks post op and I calley my ps and she is on vacation having some swelling on right side at the top between bellybutton and ribs her partner seen me in the office said she agreed there was swelling had ultrasound she said hemotoma or cyst said see my doctor when she comes back next week.is it dangerous
I had a Seroma recently I'm 3 weeks PO and on the second week I saw a loose wave in my stomach, I went to the E.R and got a ultrasound and it was in fact fluid, I got my surgery in Miami and won't be able to get there for another week, so I immediately got nervous And stop wearing my binder thinking it would make the fluid worst, a few nights ago I put on my binder now my stomach is puffy and firm again, is it possible my Seroma started to absorb?
After an ultrasound and mri I met with my doctor to find out I had a hernia less than 1 inch and the mass seems to be dead fat cells that have not been eliminated through my lymph system. When I had my consultation I made a point several times to mention that I had lymphedema on my lower right side due to a motorcycle accident in 2004. I was told this would not be a problem. Now I am left with a hard mass of dead fat about the size of a baseball.
Oct 2013 I had TT with seroma that developed pseudo bursa. It was resolved with sclerosing agent and abrading surface with lipo cannula (no suction). It left thick scar tissue, shelfing, uneven contour and firm tissue. 2014 Dr did lipo to fix it, but it didn't work at all and prob created some new scarring also. I don't want to go thru another surgery, so I made an appointment with a chiropractor for ultrasound treatment. How often should I get the treatments for it to be effective?
Many plastic surgeons in Columbia and Mexico recommend having post-op ultrasonic therapies to prevent fat pockets and fibrosis. I've been to consultation with 3 diff Drs. here in the US and none have yet told me that it is necessary!?
I am nearly 3 weeks post tummy tuck with lipo. I am thrilled with my results, but the tightness from swelling is bothering me. I went back to work yesterday and although I'm on light duty and am able to sit often I ended up very swollen by the end of the day. I am still wearing my binder but my belly feels just as tight with it on as it is off. I've used ultrasound therapy in the past for muscle pain. Will it help with the healing process and help to reduce my swelling?
