Surgery 6 years ago for cancer removal. I have a scar that goes from lower sternum to pubis. It causes what I call a sass (ass on my stomach) I also have developed a small overhang. No matter how much weight I lose or sit-ups I do, it does not go away. Im done trying to work it off. I am 50 and have decided it is what it is. I work as a nurse and very active. I just dont want to wear my pants above or below the pouch and maybe...a bikini?
The bottom incision of my anchor wound close to my sternum (for orientation purposes) is open and linear. No foul odor or pain. I can see white inside the wound. I've been keeping it very clean and dry. Any suggestions?
I have an existing midline scar from a previous surgery that stretches from sternum down to past belly button but above pelvis. If I were to ever need a tummy tuck, could it be done using a midline incision? Even if that meant extending the incision to my pelvis.
Five months out of tummy tuck and you can see the stitches all the way down from my sternum to my belly button. I don't believe these are dissolvable stitches. Will this get less noticeable over time or worse? I have a dr follow up appointment next month but just curious if this is common?
The arm lift revision Left me with a bruised Medial nerve. I have severe pain, numbness, hypersensitive of left hand. My TT has been easy, pain has been minimal. My breasts are another story. I have severe pain in my chest, at sternum and at the top of the implants. Minimal swelling. I hoped by now I would no longer need pain pills and even just using tylenol. After about 12 hours I ended up in tears. I feel like the pain is more in control than I am. Is this level of pain normal 2 weeks post op?
I recently had a CT scan for diastasis and possible hernia near sternum.I am aware that I have Diastasis and umbilical hernia.I have a bulge near sternum and it's quite painful when it surfaces. No signs of hernia according to the CT scan.Is is possible that my DR separated to my sternum. If it's not a hernia, is the Diastasis opening and closing with each movement that it is catching on something--which it causes to painfully bulge? If so, what is it catching on?
