It took me over 9 weeks to somewhat straighten after my tummy tuck. I expressed concern to PS and was told some people take longer. Well 20 months on my skin still feels so tight. I cannot even pinch it standing straight. My posture was bad for over a year and now trying to correct it my incision is worsening. Suffer shortness of breath due to how tight i am still. What should I do? Im so disappointed suffering with this tightness so long. Use silicone, microneedling, laser, tret, hydroquinone.
I am almost 4 weeks post op with a fantastic recovery - diastasis hernia / muscle repair, drainless, painless (Exparel) abdominoplasty, after 3 big kids. Very happy with results + recovery so far. Although I was walking straight after a week or so, my posture is not yet back to normal, due to the tightness under my bust. I am used to walking with a strong back, shoulders back but I seem to be defaulting to a less good posture. Can I do small back bends to try to 'fix' this or should I just wait.
5w PO TT w/ MR, no lipo. All healed except for small, dry scab (less than 1/2) in lower/center incision. Approved to resume normal activity but struggling to stand straight. Very tight at the top of plication under breast bone. Skin puckers there when I try to straighten up. No discomfort anywhere else, just very tight/uncomfortable at the top. I sit w perfect posture but when I stand up, my shoulders hunch fwd. I'm so close! What can I do to get that top to stretch & let me stand up straight?
Exactly 2 weeks post op. Still healing. I get daily activitity as well as rest. Still kinda stiff, walking hunched over. My concern is the curve in my lower back, one of my favorite attributes. I love the way my new tummy looks! However my goal was to keep my curves. before/after photo the arch in the small of my back is not as defined as pre op & my booty looks smaller!! Will this get better in time? What can I do to help this healing process or improve flexibility?
All responses say TT should not change glute contour, but my back looks like it goes straight into my butt, with no scoop. I don't feel particularly swollen. Is this a posture limitation? My shoulders are still slightly rounded and hips tucked just a bit under because I'm so tight in front. It doesn't feel like I'll ever stand straight again.
