I had Anterior & Posterior repair surgery 3 years ago for stress incontinence. My obgyn wants me to have it again along with a hysterectomy. I have a inguinal hernia and would like to know if I should have that repaired along with abdomnioplasty and if my insurance would cover it? Ive already meet my detuctible and need this some asap. Also should I go to a general surgeon or plastic surgeon? Thanks
I have undergone spinal fusion along with 2 other surgeries on my lumbar spine. In addition, I have some urinary incontinence due to childbirth. Is there a chance that this would be covered by FMLA? I know cosmetic surgeries are not typically covered, but if it's related to an underlying health condition, it may be. Is there a chance it would be covered? Should I be asking my orthopaedic surgeon, my plastic surgeon, or both for a medical certification?
I had a gastric bypass done at age 49 . I am now 67 and had a tummy tuck done a year ago . I began having bowel incontinence soon after the tummy tuck surgery . I have been tested for pelvic floor muscle weakness and went through therapy with recommended exercises that I do faithfully daily . Sacral nerve stimulation is my next step . Diet high in fiber also recommended . Is this a known side affect of a tummy tuck ?
My question is strictly to ask if there is such a procedure that can fix bladder prolapse/incontinence and include a tummy tuck at the same time? I feel like part of my pelvic floor issues are due to my stretched abdominal muscles and I'd like to fix both in one surgery. Does this exist? Thanks.
I had loose skin, diastasis recti, constant low back pain and urinary stress incontinence but I had a tummy tuck 14 weeks ago and Ive had no more back pain(!), good muscle repair and no more excess skin. However I still have the stress incontinence and its actually somewhat worse after surgery. Im in very good physical condition. Is it possible that I may still get some relief from this yet or no? I did have a catheter for 2 days post surgery, would that affect my incontinence still?
