During a consultation I have been told by a surgeon that I qualify for a full Tummy Tuck with a shorter scar. So more extensive than a mini Tummy Tuck where my belly button would be redone because loose skin be pulled from the top down but with a smaller incision than a usual TT. My fear is this may not remove all the loose skin I want and leave me with uneven bulges if the hip area loose skin is not taken along with fat removal if required? Im 49kg and 5ft 1 are my fears correct?
I had a tummy tuck done in 2009, in 2012 I had lipo done all over and started to notice a weird bulge in my stomach. One surgeon I met with said I had a hernia. I went to my pcp who sent me to get a ct scan done. The results were I had Diastasis Recti. How does this even happen Ive recently gained 40 lbs but the Diastasis Recti was diagnosed before I gained the weight. What can I do to fix it? Do I need another tummy tuck??? Also he totally screwed up my belly button
Hey all, I have a classic case of massive weight loss (55 kg). I had gastric sleeve 6 years ago where I lost 45 then 10 more through diet/exercise this year. Can I get away with just an extended tummy tuck? I really dont want the fdl vertical scar but Im worried that Ill bulge and look strange. Also would back lipo benefit me or do I absolutely need a back lift? Thank you!
I had a TT 1.5 years ago. Recently I feel like I did after surgery, like my muscles are tearing inside. It hurts to move at times especially if my abs are engaged. My belly button scar is even protruding now too. I do have more of a bulge on top of my belly button than I do below. It's weird and I'm worried about it. I had the TT because I had Diastasis Recti pretty bad and an umbilical hernia. Any thoughts?
I am 41 years old, never had children yet my stomach under my belly button is starting to bulge forward. I don't think I have much fat but maybe I do? I regularly exercise and lift weights. What are my surgical and non surgical options to get back my tight, flat stomach from my 30s.
I asked a question a week ago and got some really great answers. But I have a follow up question. I went to a plastic surgeon this week who said my upper bulge is due to visceral fat and so I just need to lose weight to help in that area. But based on the fact that most of my bulge is in the upper part, are there any abdominal exercises I should do or avoid? Could abdominal exercises actually hurt that area? Because I've been doing them for a few years now and they're definitely not helping.
I've had lipo in 2007 and 1 pregnancy. I'm was told by a certified plastic surgeon that my abdomen could be repaired to flatten out my upper stomach bulge. I don't have loose skin, there are even some muscles there. Is there a less expensive and intrusive way to reduce this issue which I'd agree is bulging and probably pre-pregnancy. (A 15 yo skinny pic is included) AND when I have my breast reduction procedure, will my stomach become more noticeable? No other surgeon has ever recommended TT
Had tummy tuck Feb 2024. Bulge noticed immediately after. Had liposuction 3 weeks ago to address excess fat in upper abdomen. Left side noticeably bulges out more than right in side profile view. When I run my hand down the left side on my tummy, I can feel a hard lump that is not present on my right side. I have lost 5 lbs since the operation. It's more noticeable after I eat or in the evening. What could this be? Is it my organs on my left side pushing out? Why is one side so different ?
Im 40 years old, and have had 3 babies (vaginally) over the last 4 years. Im very thankful to not have any stretch marks and my skin for the most part is still tight on my stomach area. However, I have an obvious significant bulge, and sometimes after eating I almost look pregnant again! I do have 2nd degree uterine, bladder and rectal prolapse as confirmed by my Gyn. Im currently 57, 122 odd and have always been thin. Do I need a full or mini TT, or something else?
