I underwent laparoscopic appendectomy two weeks ago. I had my TT done 4 years ago and ever since then my stomach was flat as a board. The surgeon moved my belly button downward and reconstructed it. However immediately after surgery I felt a hard mass right above my belly button. It looks like a bulge or a bump but rock hard to the touch. The doctor who removed my appendix said he had to aggressively manipulate the area in order to get in. Could this ruin the TT? Would compression binders help?
I got my appendix remove really young and Im 25 (with a 1 year old son) planning to have sx. I got quote for a Lipo and Tummy Tuck. I want to know if the lipo would help to have a flat stomach (even tho I will still have the scar) or if I really need to have the tt in order for me to have a flat stomach. Is on my right side.
I had gastric bypass 13yrs ago and lost 100lbs then gained about half that back after 2 kids. Last year had an appendectomy and surgeon found a large hernia. I am starting to have more discomfort. I am still overweight but am concerned that after I have a hernia repair that the excess skin and hanging stomach may pull on the repair and cause it to be herniated again. I don't feel I have time to loose more wt before needing to have this surgery. Can it be done together inspite of my wt?
Hi.. I had done appendicitis surgery 2 years ago. I am a foodie. I am trying to reduce weight now. I had done almost everything to reduce weight. Diet and exercise helped me to some extent. But I could not reduce my tummy. My friend suggested a tummy tuck in McLean Clinic,Toronto. But I dont know how far that will be effective. Is there any chance of getting back the fat after tummy tuck? I am worried. Any experiences? Kindly advice.
I was told I have 2 small inguiunial hernias and I think I have an incisional hernia right under my appendectomy scar. They are all reducible and mostly with no visible bump. I can feel the a bulge but it comes and goes. There has been a great deal of discomfort lately and want to get it fixed locally in Houston TX but I really do not want to use any mesh. I have Blue cross/blue shield insurance and was wondering if there are any doctors out there that do any non-mesh techniques
I always had two bulges under my belly button but last 3 months after appendectomy my abdomen just got bigger and I look pregnant on daily basis. I thought it's bloating but no any food makes difference. CT scan revealed nothing, endoscopy and colonoscopy are ok as well. No bacterias or parasites found in the stool. So how is possible my belly to change so much in space of few months? It is possible to have week abdominal muscles or even diastitis? I have never been pregnant and not now as well
