Full TT in Oct 2021, w/ 1 drain removed at 2 weeks and 3 wks. While I no longer had sagging skin, I was still left with large bulge in my lower abdomen, noticeable in clothes. I asked my surgeon & she said it was remaining fat. 2yrs later, this bulge is now hard, isolated to my lower abdomen, has palpable borders (where subcutaneous tissue density changes) & it is painful to touch firmly/manipulate. Ive since had airsculpt, with hopes to remove it, but it persists. Thoughts?
Im 21/2 years after my surgery and still badly itchy from my belly button Im and Im below. Like cant stop pushing at it cause its internal. Also the skin dries up the track on the outside. Any suggestions I cant deal with it. It wakes me at night its really bad all day long too. Ive tried cortisone cream and it doesnt make a difference.
2 years PO. and this is what I am left with. I've done 110 sessions of lymphatic massages, RF, cavitation, wood ...you name it I've done it. I should've been advised to get a tummy tuck. I'm at that point of getting one. However, I've consulted with 5 plastic surgeons and each have vastly different feedback ranging from 100% fixable to not fixable(triangle of death/not enough skin/too much skin/fibrosis/not fibrosis, scar tissue/not scar tissue). Thoughts?
I am about 2.5 years post-op from tummy tuck (including muscle repair). Recently, I've noticed my stomach feels more open, I'm having pelvic floor pressure, and when I lie down my belly button pops out. I keep a low weight (5'7 and 105 lb) but I do lift heavy weights at the gym. Is it possible to tear a suture or develop a hernia years after TT? I contacted my dr. but she can't see me for 4 months.
Hi. Im 2 years post op tummy tuck with muscle repair. About 6 months after I developed a hard nodule under my skin. I saw a general surgeon and he said its a suture granuloma and the suture needs to come out. I also contacted my plastic surgeon and he said if the general surgeon removes the suture my muscle repair would be compromised. I dont want that to happen because I spent $36k on my plastics after weight loss. Is my plastic surgeon wrong?
After having two children, I had a full tummy tuck 2 years ago to repair my stomach muscles and remove excess skin. After thinking I had an umbilical hernia, the surgeon said I have abdominal diastasis. Why did this happen and what should I do now? My plastic surgeon specifically said she was repairing my stomach muscles. However, the general surgeon I saw told me that it is almost impossible to repair them because no procedure will hold them together. Is this true?
