I had a tummy tuck done in 2009, in 2012 I had lipo done all over and started to notice a weird bulge in my stomach. One surgeon I met with said I had a hernia. I went to my pcp who sent me to get a ct scan done. The results were I had Diastasis Recti. How does this even happen Ive recently gained 40 lbs but the Diastasis Recti was diagnosed before I gained the weight. What can I do to fix it? Do I need another tummy tuck??? Also he totally screwed up my belly button
The scar is higher than I expected and slightly tethered. 3 years ago the muscle repair became undone. I had an umbilical hernia & the Diastasis Recti had returned, I was offered keyhole surgery on the NHS to repair these, but was told that KH surgery doesn't have the longevity of open Surgery. It has now become undone again, and I have the DR & umbilical hernia again. I consulted a PS via the NHS & was told that the previous surgeries will have compromised the blood supply to the scar area and therefore it would present a high risk of healing problems and infection. Please could you advise me.
I had an abdominalplasty, radical hysterectomy and they built up my pelvic floor all at the same time. I was 112 lbs, 5'3. Originally it was pulled too tightly and the pelvic floor build was bulky and hung over mambilicus. I left me physically limited. I have had chronic abdominal spasms and trouble walking. Recently, my massage therapist was massaging my abs. She pressed palms downward on my sternum/ ab area and a deep release. The upper abs feel opened to me now.
Hi: I had a tummy tuck over 10 years ago, I have gained about 10-15 pounds after my TT, but my stomach for the most part still remains flat. My question is: are having cramps still common years after TT? I get random cramps whenever I exert myself as far as abdominal exercises, sneezing extremely hard or after sex. My stomach tenses for a minute or two with a sharp cramp and once I stretch and breath it out, the cramp is usually gone within 1-3 minutes, rarely does it last longer. Is this normal
Hi, I had a tummy tuck in 2011. Over the years Ive had a few stitches surface on the incision line. I just removed them easily. In the past two months I have multiple openings on the incision line infections and a lot of stitches coming out. My bellybutton has been infected for three months and is almost closed. Are used to not have any feeling due to the nerves but now its very painful the incision is red and swollen and has a lot of drainage in multiple areas.
I got a TT over 10 years ago. My question is I feel and can see there is still fluid, like edema. My doctor that did my procedure would put a needle in there and suck out the blood and fluid. He has since retired. What are my options? I am in great shape but this is annoying. Any suggestions you can offer me
Had a mini tummy tuck over 10 years ago. Wanted full TT. Had an ex lap then open abdominal surgery to repair gallbladder duct over 30 years ago, left with large scar across upper abdomen. Mini tuck done no issues with healing. Now Im told I am unable to have tummy tuck because of large abdominal scar and blood flow healing issues. Also told couldnt have liposuction either. Am I the only one in world with past surgery scars and unable to have anything done?
I had a tummy tuck about 10 years ago and I have always hated my belly button afterwards. I used to have an adorable belly button. Even though I had three children many years ago I still had an okay stomach, no stretch marks and a nice belly button. My doctor said I had a hernia and I wanted a tummy tuck anyway as I have big ribs and small hips and wanted a little contouring. When I healed I was missing most of my belly button. It's kind of triangular. It is not attractive at all!
I had a tummy tuck in 2003 ten years ago. Have gained weight since then and my abdomen is quite distended looking, it looks good when I suck it in but thats not possible 24/7. Is it possible to have a second tummy tuck done for muscle repair without lipo?
