He stated this method would be an incision under the areola and extending a little beyond on each side, like a tennis racket (or a spoon). I was sent this link for visual: www.researchgate.net/figure/Tennis-racket-method-A-Preoperative-design-with-racket-form-B-Lumpectomy-and_fig5_223974981 I prefer to have minimal scarring because I am prone to keloid development (I have 3 on my shoulder currently). Looking for other method options.
I got masculinizing chest surgery (double mastectomy) in 2022 by a surgeon whose results looked good at first, but as the scars healed, the nipple grafts never looked remotely normal or natural. The placement is fine, but the appearance is wonky. I moved away for school reasons and have not had the opportunity to speak with the surgeon since. Is there a procedure to fix botched/unnatural looking nipple grafts? Thanks in advance.
I prefer minimal scarring but I'm unsure if I have too much skin/tissue for peri. I'm 21, 172cm & 63kg with an 87cm bust, 81.5cm underbust, 18.5cm from sternal notch to nipple on both sides, 5cm from inframammary fold to nipple on the left / 6cm on the right
Hello, I am a 25-year-old transgender man/FTM, 5'2 at 110lbs. I would prefer a procedure such as peri or keyhole because I would like to minimal scarring. My chest circumference around the widest part is roughly 32.5 in. and the circumference under my chest is 29.9 in. What procedure would you suggest for me based on my measurements and photos?
I had a DI mastectomy 11 days ago. I know nipple grafts normally scab over but they've started oozing and bleeding more and when they flake what's underneath doesn't seem right. The doctor I spoke to confirmed that it does seem like my grafts didn't make it, and that there isn't anything to do for now. If this is indeed the case, what should I expect? Will I be met with bloody craters and pain as they flake off? Will they definitely flake off all by themselves in the first place? Thank you.
I'm a non-binary (afab) looking to get top surgery as my next step. I'm not super interested in keeping my nipples or nipple sensation. I'm not against keeping them either. But my main goals are a flat, tight chest and the least amount of recovery time necessary. I'm pretty small (B cup) and have never done chest binding. I am not on T and don't plan on it. Based on the attached photos should I be considering peri-areolar or double incision? (I'm guessing I'm too big for keyhole)
I am 12 days post op from top surgery. I wore the post op binder 24/7 for 11 days after surgery. Once I had the dressings removed from my nipples they felt great. The next day my nipples feel extremely sensitive. Sort of like road rash would feel when touched by clothing. I no longer feel the random tingling/needle prick pain I was feeling before. I am not sure if the feeling is normal or not. Some of the skin also seems to be peeling off and they are looking pretty gross. Im worried that they might fall off or the graft is failing.
