18, Nonbinary person - If I stop testosterone after periareoral top surgery will tissue grow back?

Basically what the title says. I'm a 18 year old nonbinary person who is getting top surgery in about a year. I was told i am eligible for periareoral top surgery. I wasnt really expecting it so i didnt have my questions ready. Will i grow some tissue back when i stop t after surgery?

Great question. After periareolar top surgery, we don’t remove 100% of the breast tissue. A small amount is intentionally left behind to keep the chest looking smooth and to protect the nipple.Because of that, if you stop testosterone, your body’s natural estrogen can act on that remaining tissue, so some mild increase in fullness is possible over time. That said, most of the glandular tissue has already been removed, so it’s very unlikely for the chest to go back to how it looked before surgery. In reality, the biggest factor that changes the long-term result is weight fluctuation. Gaining weight can add fat to the chest and make it look fuller, which people sometimes interpret as “regrowth,” even though it’s mostly fat rather than breast tissue. So overall, you might notice subtle changes, but a significant reversal of your results would be uncommon.
