38 y/o female struggling after weight loss. I feel my jowls and neck are so saggy I can hardly look in the mirror. I've tried filler in my cheeks and jaw and liked it but it was too expensive for something that only lasted 9 months. I'm looking for something more long term. I thought about PDO threads but feel hesitant.
They said that I would experience pain for the first day, and some discomfort the next few days, but that I would be able to return to work the next day. I was NOT. I had to take two days off; I was in so much severe pain I was back the next day begging for narcotics and needed to take them for four days. Is this a sign that I would heal poorly from other facial surgery (such as a nose job), or that I wasn't sleeping well or not numbed enough?
I am 53 and starts to see sagging in lower face and neck. Have researched both thread lift and ulthreapy. I know the thread lift is instant but does not last as long while ulthreapy will take a few months to see improvement. What do you recommend based on my picture? Any other alternatives besides the two? Thank you!
I have always had some asymmetry to my face. Recently I got silohuette insta-lift threads (10 threads) in my cheeks, jaw, and neck. I also put a little filler in my nose and chin. What else would help me address my asymmetrical features?
RealSelf has been my go to resource for skin, surgery and cosmetic adventure; but lately so many surgeons and dermatologists have YouTube channels, Insta feeds & media marketing...it's a minefield for the prospective patient trying to chart a treatment timeline for themselves. I think im too young for a surgical neck/facelift, chronologically & in appearance; if I get a pdo thread necklift now; will it compromise a face/necklift surgery in 5 to 10 years from now? Honesty appreciate
I am 39 and starting to see loss of elasticity in my neck and jaw. My sister is a PA that will be attending a training to learn how to do PDO threads. I have been looking into my options to help my skin, including the threads and laser treatments. I would love to do it but I am afraid of the setting being a training and my sisters obvious inexperience. Everything I have read says to go to an experienced provider. Is it more or less likely to experience problems as a patient in a training
I got cheecks filler two weeks ago. When is best time to get PDO threat lift? I have loose skin under my face. Will threat lift fix my problem? I'm planning to get face and neck threat lift. I'm 41 years old
I am 38 and wanting to improve the appearance of my turkey neck - at least tightening the skin, but lifting would be great too. I am considering 100x PDO matrix mono threads along the jawline to delay the need for mini neck lift or neck lift surgery for a year or so, but I'm not sure if that will help. I am wondering what options there are to fix my turkey neck.
Which should I do first, PDO thread lift or thermage? How long should I wait between the two? Ive had one Thermage session on my lower face and neck, and I felt like it was effective. I have another one scheduled, but I just learned about PDO threads and would like to try that to address my double chin Which I was just told is not fat but actually sagging skin. I appreciate any advice! Thank you!
