Why was my PDO thread lift so intense and painful?

-Inadequate numbing: If the area wasn't sufficiently numbed, the pain could be more severe.
-Personal pain threshold: Everyone’s tolerance varies, and some may experience more pain than others.
-Body's inflammatory response: Some people experience more swelling or inflammation, increasing discomfort.
-Healing ability: Poor sleep, stress, or other health factors can slow healing or worsen pain.
-Expectations: It is important for the provider to be very clear about potential discomfort and down-time following any procedure. Thread lifts can be fairly uncomfortable for a couple of weeks for some patients.

Hi @filipinaqueen33! I'm sorry you had such an unpleasant experience receiving PDO threads. I don't believe this is a sign that you would heal poorly if you were to get a rhinoplasty. Soreness almost always occurs after treatment. There may be a dull pain that typically goes away after a week or two. You may ask your practitioner to use additional lidocaine for your next treatment. You are also able to take Tylenol after your treatment if you are not allergic. I hope this was helpful :)
