Hello, 6 weeks ago I had my first laser tattoo removal session with Picosure laser. My concern is that the lasered area is still red even though over a month has passed. It also has mild itching and the skin seems dry. I have been using vaseline on it to help with the dryness but that didn't help much so I switched to coconut oil. Is it inflamed or scarring?
I had my second laser session 15 days ago on a sizable leg piece. I wound up in urgent care on Sunday for this absolutely intense itching, I couldnt sleep. Two questions for the MDs out there: 1) how long does this itching normally last in patients? The best hope the internet gives me is that the total healing process could last ~3 weeks. The itching keeps me awake at night so any hope that it will reside soon is more than welcome. 2) photos attached - did this tech overdo it? I want to call and notify the doctor that her tech burned me in two places, but not without being absolutely sure.
Hi, I have just had laser treatment on a huge dense tattoo which contains white ink and mostly black , after a week I felt itchiness from all over the body not even the treated sites like hell, I can't bare the itchiness so I just scratch all over the body for 24/7 can't even sleep for 3 days now Butt, arm, head, neck , feet , hands literally everywhere ... is this a serious allergic reaction to tattoo removal ? Should I stop laser treatment? But I can't I really have to remove this horrible.
Hello. I am having a medium black tribal tattoo removed from my upper arm with Picoway. About 4 weeks after the first treatment, I became very itchy on my forearms, waistband, and legs (everywhere except for where the tattoo is). My doctor diganosed it as contact dermititis, and prescribed predinosone for 5 days. That helped a lot, but after being off it for a week, the itching has come back to my legs and back (not as bad as before). Could this be related to the tattoo removal? Thanks
I got this 10 years ago. It's a constant source of irritation for me. The lines never stopped with the swelling so if you rub your hand over it, you can feel it raised up. It's also never stopped itching. It's gotten to the point I've ripped my skin up & caused bleeding from scratching. My Dr gave me some cream & I take benedryl, but it's not helping anymore. I think it's an allergic reaction. Does insurance (more specifically tricare/health net) cover some type of removal for this purpose?
This is my second session with quanta c plus laser. The first session healed great, but this time was different. Five days after my second treatment my skin was itching like crazy, and the area began to raise, it almost looks like a 3D object. I called my technician and she advised to use hydrocortisone. Is the raised skin normal or is this a sign of scaring?
