Itching all over after tattoo removal, what can I do?

Hello. I am having a medium black tribal tattoo removed from my upper arm with Picoway. About 4 weeks after the first treatment, I became very itchy on my forearms, waistband, and legs (everywhere except for where the tattoo is). My doctor diganosed it as contact dermititis, and prescribed predinosone for 5 days. That helped a lot, but after being off it for a week, the itching has come back to my legs and back (not as bad as before). Could this be related to the tattoo removal? Thanks

This can be removed with laser tattoo removal. It will take a series of treatments. I recommend getting a formal evaluation with a laser tattoo removal expert. If it's new, you'll want to wait until it's competely healed (around 4-6 weeks) Best, Dr. Emer

Thank you for your question in regards to tattoo removal. The R20 method is going to be based upon your provider. Over the years, from personal experience I have not found that the R20 protocol to be more beneficial than single treatments, especially with large tattoos with heavy amounts of ink....
