I am 6 years post bilateral mastectomy with implant placemant. I recently had them both replaced due to rupture implant. Before they were replaced, i began having a heavy sagging feeling on my left implant. Annoying feeling when bra is off. After implant replacement surgery the feeling came back and i think the implant looks like it sags moe compared to the other that feels normal. My surgeon didnt have any answer why this may be, so wondering if anyone else might have an idea? Thank you
My surgeon put in teardrop expanders. Can I get round implants at my exchange? Also one expander is alot higher than the other and is going into my armpit. I look like i have two different breast sizes because of how there sitting. Does this need to be fixed now or can it wait until my exchange surgery?
I had a bilateral mastectomy and reconstruction with silicone implants in 2016. Is it safe for me to use castor oil pack over the implant? Since castor oil absorbs deeply into the skin, will it breakdown the implant? Im having an increase in neuropathy in the chest muscle where part of it was cut away during the mastectomy. Maybe this is the start of a capsular contracture??
I am about to have a unilateral Right mastectomy, and am a size AA cup (75cc?). I was told by one plastic surgeon that I could choose to simply have an implant in my removed breast, but other plastic surgeons say that's not possible (i.e. that I would have to go up dramatically on the Right because there are no implants small enough). Is that true? Or could an 80cc implant do the trick. I've also been told that if I wanted to augment a little (I would never want to be more than an A and would prefer a little smaller) that that is not possible. That I'd need to be 100 on the Left and 175cc (I'm making up these ratios as an example) on the Right. Is there no way for women who are contented with their small breasts to remain small after a Mastectomy? It seems like society assumes everyone wants to be larger. Many thanks for your insights.
Underwent nipple Sparing, double mastectomy in 2018 and had Natrelle SRX-580 memory gel implants inserted. Decided it would better to have Mentor Boost-especially since the new cohesive gel are so soft. Would like to be largersince all I am is implantand try to get them a little closer together. I actually like the fake look if you want to call it that so trying to be natural is a ship that has already sailed. I am now 47, 56 and 118 pounds. The base diameter of my current implants is 13.5 cm and the projection is 6.4. They are partialy under the muscle. Overall I have been extremely pleased. The Boost implant is also high profile, smooth/round with a base diameter of 14.4 cm and a projection of 6.4 cm. I am increasing the base by less than a cm and projection by two tenths so I dont think this placement will be a problem. What do the doctors here think?
I just found out that I have BRCA1 gene and am supposed to be getting a prophylactic bilateral mastectomy - however when I was a baby I had 3 heart surgeries and I was looking to see if it seems as if I have congenital symmastia or if the symmastia Im experiencing was likely due to my surgeries- I havent had my consultation yet but am nervous and was hoping to ease my mind before then.
I recently had my implants removed in slate February of this year. In October last year I had an injury to my left pectoral muscle while doing heavy bench press & other chest workouts - between November & January I noticed that the left side started to form a seroma which Im guessing its from the injury. By late January the left side had doubled size compared to my right side. At that point, I decided to have my implants completely removed, and the surgeon decided not to remove the capsules. After surgery, both of my breasts looked deflated which was to be expected. The left one still sat higher up than the right one and as of today, it appears that I have an implant on my left side due to all of the scar tissue balled up inside the left breast. It does not look any different than it did before the surgery, other than being smaller due to the implants being removed. The left one sits up much higher and looks so much fuller with all that scar tissue inside of there. The right side is empty and flat. I would like to get some advice on what route I need to go in order to have my left breast look the same as my right. Ive had one consultation so far and was told that my pectoral muscle would need to be reattached and all this scar tissue would have to be removed, which I felt like should have been done in the last surgery when I had my implants removed. My left side looks like theres caps or contracture without any implants even being there.
Looking for the closest to natural-looking breast method with the least amount of scarring that has the highest chance of preserving the most nipple sensation. I'm open to implants but would prefer that be a last resort option as long as it does not involve vertical scars. And if two procedures are required, would you recommend doing them at the same time or separately, and if it's the latter, how much time in between is recommended?
