Sinus Surgery Q&A

Hi, I always had very minor symptoms due to dust mite allergy. Then went throw septoplasty and turbinectomy 11 months ago. First 3 months- Feeling great, Later on I started having constant runny nose, 2 months of Flonase made the symptoms worse. Post nasal drip, Poor breathing, Congestion and constant runny nose. CT scan revealed left side accessory maxillary ostium and recirculation, My ENT thinks thats main reason for the symptoms, Even though symptoms are on both sides. FESS has been offered

I've had 2 CTs and 1 MRI, all show an opacified Haller Cell. The ENTs I've seen don't believe this is causing my symptoms. I have lower eyelid swelling (looks bulgy), pain, & blurry vision in one eyethe same eye and area where there is a Haller cell located on the medial orbital floor on the scans. Is this the probable cause of my symptoms? If so, would I need sinus surgery to remove this opacified Haller cell?

I am 120, 33, and Im a Hispanic female. I have no face shape it is so flat.

have read a lot about empty nose syndrome after sinus surgery. Surgery is coming up in the next month, Im questioning wether or not to proceed.. how common is empty nose syndrome? Is sinus surgery worth it?

already have had rhinoplasty and very happy with the results... don't want to change it

I had FESS and a septoplasty due to chronic sinusitis of over 1 year in my left maxillary sinus. 1 week after surgery I developed an infection and eye pain, but after 3 weeks of antibiotics the infection and eye pain went away for 1 week. Now I have constant dull pain in my sinus and eye, but the doctor thinks it is nerve pain due to a clear CT scan and physical exam of the sinuses. Ive had nerve pain before and this isnt sharp or shooting - could it really be nerves?

i went to my surgeon office and he placed a camera in my nose and he said there is no sign of infection but some crusting has formed that causes bad odor and i have to rinse with salin/water solution at least 3 4 times per day.but after 5 days the problem persists.what should i do now?

Im 25, Im suffering from sinusitis for the first time and its been 2 months now, I have fluid retention in many parts of my face.. around the nose and behind my eye. My concers are about the mild festoons I developed due to the edema around it.. And I never had those fesatons before.. so will they go away after treating the edema and the sinusitis?

I had sinus surgery three months ago because there is sinus opacification in left max sinus.now there is no opacification in the sinus and I have no allergy. I have symptoms like facial pain and pressure,ear pressure,dry air. for years, I thought it was sinusitis that disturbed me. but it seems not to be so. I could not convince the doctor that I have problems with it. he said that this can be psychological. you are very healthy. may I have atrophic rhinitis or any kind of sinusitis?
